"Life is lived forward, but understood backward. It is not until we are down the road and we stand on the mountain looking back through the valley that we can appreciate the terrain God has allowed us to scale.” Jill Savage

SO, JUST WHAT IS A CRONE?

I just LOVE life and how it gives you answers JUST EXACTLY when you need them. I tell you just when I'm questioned about something, the answer appears!

I got a comment yesterday which I LOVE to get by the way. The person asked me why I put in an article about women how cool women are over 40, yet I call myself a crone.

Yes, I am trying to change what what people think of the word crones. Crones don't have to be dry old woman. Crones are wise, happy, settled woman, who have had some experience with life, and they are mentally developed.

I just finished my May book and guess what it was called?

Crone Don'T Whine - Concentrated Wisdom for The Juicy Women by Jean Shinoda Bolen, MD.

These are some of the points, taken word for word of points I thought were interesting.

"To be a crone is about inner development. Wisdom, compassion, humor, courage, and vitality. She has a sense of truly being herself, can express what she knows and feels, and take action when need be. She does not advert her eyes or numb her mind from reality. She can see the flaws and imperfection in herself and others. But the light in which she sees is not harsh and judgmental. She has learned to trust herself to know what she needs.

1.Crones don’t whine. They have let go of what should been, could have been, might have been.

2.Crones are Juicy. It is an older woman with zest, passions, and soul. If you aspire to be one, the secret is to be yourself, while your mind, heart, and body still function well enough.

3.Crones have green thumbs. Crones nurture growth. Crones weed well. Crones prune.

4.Crones trust their instincts about people and principles. This trust grows thorough growing older and wiser and learning from life.

5.Crones meditate in their own fashion. Women who worry incessantly are not meditating.

6.Crones are fierce about what matters to them. Women are more conservation when young, and become rebellious and radical as they grow older and it’s usually the opposite for men. She has found her voice. She knows that silence is consent.

7.Crones chose the path with heart. Crones know when they are at a fork in the road and understand that the decision to be made will cost whatever the alternative is.

8.Crones speak the truth with compassion. They know truth liberates and that it takes courage to be self-revealing, when don’t tell anyone or what will they think.

9.Crones listen to their bodies.

10.Crones improvise.

11.Crones don’t grovel.

12.Crones laugh together usually in the absence of men,

13.Crones savor the good in their lives. If you are a women who has enjoyed life and not become soured by your personal share of human suffering, you are likely to become a crone who is a connoisseur of experience – meaning that you are able to savor the good that comes your way.

EXCEPTIONAL MEN CAN BE CRONES."
