"Life is lived forward, but understood backward. It is not until we are down the road and we stand on the mountain looking back through the valley that we can appreciate the terrain God has allowed us to scale.” Jill Savage

A quick word about organ donation. I am an organ donor ( if any part of my body can be used - tee hee). God is supposed to give us a new one when we get up there thank goodness.
I remember when my brother died and they asked his wife if she would let his corneas be used for transplants and she said no, I would have said yes.
When they took him out of his room h e had a white sheet over him. You come in to the world with nothing and you leave with nothing.
I couldn't help but think how neat it would have been to know my brother's corneas went to help some people.
Think about it reversed if you needed an organ donation.

Now to the song of the week. There is some real power in his words.
Artist/Band: Keith Toby

Lyrics for Song: Love Me If You Can
Lyrics for Album: Big Dog Daddy
Sometimes I think that war is necessary.
Every night I pray for peace on Earth.
I hand out my dollars to the homeless.
But believe that every able soul should work.
My father gave me my shotgun
that I'll hand down to my son,
try to teach him everything it means.

(chorus)
I'm a man of my convictions.
Call me wrong, call me right.
But I bring my better angels to every fight.
You may not like where I'm going,
but you sure know where I stand.
Hate me if you want to,
love me if you can.

I stand by my right to speak freely.
But I worry 'bout what kids learn from TV.
And before all of debatin' turns to angry words and hate,
sometimes we should just agree to disagree.
And I believe that Jesus looks down here and sees us,
and if you ask him he would say.

(chorus)

I'm a man of my convictions.
Call me wrong, call me right.
But I bring my better angels to every fight.
You may not like where I'm going,
but you sure know where I stand.
Hate me if you want to, love me if you can.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm a woman of my convictions.

Call me wrong, call me right.

But I bring my better angels to every fight.

You may not like where I'm going,

but you sure know where I stand.

Hate me if you want to,

love me if you can.
