"Life is lived forward, but understood backward. It is not until we are down the road and we stand on the mountain looking back through the valley that we can appreciate the terrain God has allowed us to scale.” Jill Savage

Peace Pilgrim's Simple Recipe for Inner Peace
By Peace Pilgrim
An excerpt from "Steps Toward Inner Peace: Harmonious Principles for Human Living"

1. Assume right attitudes toward life.
Stop being an escapist or a surface-liver as these attitudes can only cause disharmony in your life. Face life squarely and get down below the froth on its surface to discover its verities and realities. Solve the problems that life sets before you, and you will find that solving them contributes to your inner growth. Helping to solve collective problems contributes also to your growth, and these problems should never be avoided.

2. Live good beliefs.
The laws governing human conduct apply as rigidly as the law of gravity. Obedience to these laws pushes us toward harmony; disobedience pushes us toward disharmony. Since many of these laws are already common belief, you can begin by putting into practice all the good things you believe.
No life can be in harmony unless belief and practice are in harmony.

That is also true in my religion. You must put what you believe in good use! Now yes I do meditate. No I never lose site of my God. I think you can meditate, in fact I know you can meditate, and be a Christian. In fact I believe Jesus meditated - it was called prayer. When we pray we meditate or should meditate.
The other relaxation meditation I talk about - slows down your mind. By doing that, you feel better mind - body - spirit. It is actually HEALTHY for you!
Love,
Chatty
