"Life is lived forward, but understood backward. It is not until we are down the road and we stand on the mountain looking back through the valley that we can appreciate the terrain God has allowed us to scale.” Jill Savage

Meditation

It is like anything you start out with and you're new at. It takes practice.
So you don't think you have time for it? Ten minutes a day for yourself? In the long run, it will probably add ten minutes a day for you - you'll be able to stay up longer and work more effectively. Plus you might (?) live longer and have more time in that way too. I tell you this to help you.
I only spend 10 minutes a day about four days a week. Not as much as I'd like, but I do think it helps me to slow down and chill out. When I don't, I tend to do more things more impulsively.

If you start out racing and struggling to be the perfect meditator, you'll never become a meditator. You'll get frustrated. Be easy on yourself. Meditation for me is nothing more than slowing down, relaxing, and learning to breath in this hectic rat race called living. (You might find something interesting out there you never saw before.)

It is only after 'practice', with no thought of being perfect that you can truly get the benefits of meditation. (And this applies to everything, not just meditation.) No one is perfect.

So, practice meditating every day if you can or whenever you can, don't judge yourself, don't compete, don't think of winning or losing, don't add or subtract, don't judge as good or bad, happy or sad. Just be okay. Don't let your mind think about anything but breathing.

Take a deep breath, hold for a second, and then exhale slowly. Let go and just be.
Hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Chatty
