"Life is lived forward, but understood backward. It is not until we are down the road and we stand on the mountain looking back through the valley that we can appreciate the terrain God has allowed us to scale.” Jill Savage

Inspirational People Week - Three Cups of Tea - Greg Mortenson
It is one of the most beautiful compensations of life that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself.-Ralph Waldo Emerson

Ever hear of Greg Mortenson? Author of "Three Cups of Tea"? Fabulous book to read. He's a man with a mission - not of his original choosing . . . He was trying to climb a mountain of his own choosing - then God stopped him and place him on a mountain of God's choosing - to start a school for impoverished children.

“Here,” explained the village headman, Haji Ali, “we drink three cups of tea to do business; the first you are a stranger, the second you become a friend, and the third, you join our family, and for our family we are prepared to do anything - even die.”
