"Life is lived forward, but understood backward. It is not until we are down the road and we stand on the mountain looking back through the valley that we can appreciate the terrain God has allowed us to scale.” Jill Savage

Eckhart Tolle, Choi Kwang Do

Encouragement for the mind - an ANCHOR:
My grandson is in Choi Kwang Do and he was just invited in to the Black Belt Club. What does that mean?

Well, he worked through some of the belts - white - white senior - yellow and then to his yellow senior. At this point when they think you are serious enough - they invite you in the Black Belt Club.

What is means and what you commit to - is working through and staying until you get your black belt - no matter what!! A huge commitment. They order them their actual black belt with their name on it in Korean and English and it's hung up on the board that goes around the wall(you can see in the background). As you go through the belts and it gets harder and harder - you can look up and see your belt and it will encourage you to go on. It's a visual prop - an encouragement for your mind. It is an anchor as it helps you stay on your course and gives you a reason to stay on your course and reminds you why you went on this particular course.
There are many things we can use as anchors - a little something to help us continue and give us strength to reach our goals. If you have any anchors you can think of and want to share - I'd love to hear them.

Thought For the day:

"Whatever you accept, you go beyond. If you fight it, you're stuck with it."
Eckhart Tolle

Why do I quote this quote?

First of all it's a good one. It's true and if we could live knowing and 'accepting' this fact - I think we'd struggles less in life.

If you can accept something you can go on, if you fight it, it will always be a source of struggle for you. BELIEVE ME, I KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT HERE (LOL).

Let it go - a reminder to myself too.

Mornin' Chatty~
Good words today. I'm with you....let it go, why hang onto it?
I told hubs years ago that being angry was a total waste of time and energy.
Did he listen..........nope!
