Vince Gill - Go Rest High on that Mountain

Vince Gill's Go Rest High on that Mountain - AWESOME SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

http://www.tangle.com/view_video.php?viewkey=02ef1763510f07a44427

A tribute to my brother who died at 51 in 1997, one of the hardest losses I've ever known. It's hard to believe it has been 12 years. Now I'm five years older than he was. Funny God's timing, my grandson was born 4-5-01 (the day after) and my daughter named him for my brother. I love and miss you bro. So many things I wish I could tell you about and things I'd love to ask you that I forgot to when you were here. Someday I will. (Vince Gill lost his brother way too early too.)

Now for the Saturday Meditation-

"When you take charge of your life, there is no longer need to ask permission of other people or society at large. When you ask permission, you give someone veto power over your life". By Geoffrey F. Abert

Remember to keep your own power - don't give it away.

Love,
Chatty

Halloo Chatty. Sorry for your loss. No way to soften such a loss, really. In a four-year span almost every single member of my core family and extended family died, including siblings, one of them was my darling brother who I stuck to like glue, going to college together, working the same place, both moving to Houston, inseparable. So I know what you mean. When Bryan died, I kept saying, "I got to call Bryan! Talk this over with him!" Went loony for a good while. It never does feel better to me.

oh man...I'm very close to my oldest brother, now 62, and I dread the day...can imagine how you feel.
Vince's song is one of my absolute favorites, how do you do that every week, pick a song that is one of my favs????? Obviously, the same songs touch our hearts!
I decided long ago to play this at my mom's and my own memorial.
Love this song so, so much.

Thank you friends. I guess time does heal wounds. You never forget, but things do get better. My brother and I were extremely close too.

That song makes me feel so much better - knowing he's with God and that we'll be together some day.
