An experiment . . .

" Whether you and I and a few others will renew the world some day remains to be seen. But within ourselves we must renew it each day." - Herman Hesse

I have been thinking about what I want to do with my Blog now that my trip to Alaska is over - which by the way makes me sad. I loved Alaska and talking about it. I find that life does go on, but Alaska will stay in my heart forever.

In keeping with the original theme or thought I wanted for my blog was to talk some about my own journey, but mostly it was to learn how to keep a positive spirit - no matter what - in a sometimes negative world. Which at times can be hard. I think it takes work and effort daily. We must renew our self daily. It's okay to get down, it's not okay to stay down - at least for me.

Now another thing I'm thinking about is the movie Julie and Julia. Julie was floundering around which sometimes (lol) I can relate to. I wish I had thought of that myself. To cook through Julia Child's cookbook - The Art of French Cooking - but alas, don't know if I am much of a chef. . .

So what can I do for awhile? What could I write about that would hold our interest and be positive at the same time?

I want to write about inspiring people. Famous or not so famous women and men. I've been giving it thought about how to do that. Should I do it by birthdays? Pick someone out of the blue?

I've been working on this already and it is going to take some work on my part - which is good for me - as it will keep my mind busy in this period of 'flux' I'm going through.

So I hope you'll enjoy my efforts with some positive quotes, some people who I think are hero's, some pictures, and songs. If you have any suggestions let me know and I'll look them up and blog on them. I think I started yesterday with the strong women in my life who are facing cancer. They are not famous, but they are hero's non-the-less.

Now the You Tubes below - is of Mariah Carey's song - The 'Hero' Within You - if we all can remember there's a little bit of hero in all of us - that we don't have to be big hero's or a famous hero - just a little hero - sometimes just getting though the day is hero enough.

And this video talks about "Famous Failures" - People who didn't give up even when at first they failed. We can never, ever give up. Yoda - 'Do or do not, there is no try'. I love that quote.

And who to better to continue with then Winnie The Pooh - he's my grandson's hero or was - and if you look at him and his personality qualities - they're good ones with good values.

"You're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think". - Christopher Robin to Pooh

So who are you? Pooh, Eeyore, Rabbit, Tigger, or Piglet? They all have distinct personalities. Maybe you're a blend. I am.

Love,
Chatty

Can't wait to see Julie/Julia. Your new ideas sound interesting. Will be fun to see what you come up with in your explorations of women, and self.

Thanks, I'm going to throw some guys in there too to be fair.

I guess we all have our heroes in life - look forward to your ideas.

I'd love to know yours - I'm sure your husband is one and I think you're one. I'm not sure what I'm doing here exactly, but thought I'd give it a whirl. You'll all have to let me know what you think.

I really liked your Alaska odyssey and look forward to heroes. I like the idea of birthdays as a springboard. Enjoy your quotes a lot. I started blogging as a way to focus on the positive things in my life and found so much more than I would have thought of. If we can propose names I'm suggesting Margaret Mead. Her birthday is December 12.

I'll get Margaret Mead for December. Thanks for the suggestion. I hope this is going to be interesting. . .

That is exactly why I blog - you put it much better - to make myself focus on the positive things in life!

I used to be able to so the best "eeyore" voice when I read Christopher Robin to my kids and grandkids. But I sure hope that isn't my real personality.

Guess I'm a blend.

I think I am a blend too - all of them at different times.
