Fall Fesetival at Choi Kwang-Do

"Because life is a living, breathing work of art, you are a painting as you go. Be a masterpiece. Drink in life. Laugh too loud. Compliment others constantly.” —Nicole Johnson

I think this is are last official Fun Festival for the year - it was canceled on October 30th due to rain. By the way - we broke a record here in Georgia - rainiest year on record - ever! This is the International Headquarters of Choi Kwang-Do.

Okay, let the fun begin! And yes this was November 14, 2009 at 3pm - it was hot!
Soccer.

Football.
Leg races - now this is funny. They put Andy with a little guy - you can see it won't work from the beginning. They have to walk together - holding a pumpkin - neither one of them have done this before - and one is short and the other one taller.

So Andy - just keeps running and is dragging the poor guy to the finish line - holding the pumpkin himself.

No they did not win - but they did finish. Not sure if the other little guys mom thought that was so cute, but we couldn't stop it.

Now, we can get ready for Thanksgiving!

Happy Birthday Burgess Meredith - wikipedia

Meredith served in the United States Army Air Forces in World War II, reaching the rank of captain. He was discharged in 1944 to work on the movie "The Story of GI Joe", in which he starred as the popular war correspondent Ernie Pyle. He also provided the narration for A Walk in the Sun.

As a result of the House Committee on Un-American Activities investigation into Communist influence in Hollywood, Meredith was placed on the Hollywood blacklist in the 1950s.

That was a weird time - how can an American hero be placed on the Hollywood Blacklist?

Love,
Chatty

That was funny - Andy with a short kid - not a good idea for a winning strategy! Seems Andy was determined to cross the finish line!!! Good thinking, Andy! Looks like a fun packed time!

DEAR CHATTY,
THANK YOU FOR BEING SO FAITHFUL TO CHECK ON AMY WHEN SHE WAS HERE AND ON ME AND RICHARD AND RICHIE AND MEGAN NOW THAT AMY HAS GONE HOME WITHOUT PAIN AND NO SADNESS.
I AM HAVING A HARD TIME...ONE MINUTE I AM OKAY AND I AM JUST SO BROKEN HEARTED THE NEXT..IT IS ENOUGH TO THINK YOU ARE LOOSING YOUR MIND....I TALK TO ONE PERSON AND THEY HELP AND I PRAY AND I AM BETTER AND THEN I'M IN A PANIC BECAUSE I WON'T BE ABLE TO HUG HER ON EARTH AGAIN....IT IS SUCH A LOSS AND A HURT.
I LOVE...LOVE...LOVE MAXINE. SHE'S THE QUEEN...SAY IT LIKE IT IS. I ALWAYS GET A LAUGH FROM MAXINE.

Oh my gosh that is so funny! You got to love a kid that wants to win no matter what! I'm sure if he was a lot bigger than the other kid he could have picked him up and carried him along with the pumpkin! lol

Hugs,
Angela
