""Oh, the comfort, the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person; having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but to pour them out, chaff and grain together, knowing that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keep what is worth keeping, and then, with the breath of kindness, blow the rest away."
~ Dinah Mulock Craik, A Life for a Life, 1859
In a lifetime, there are one or two people who come into our lives who give inexpressible comfort. Usually, they appear when we need them the most... And they stay as long as we need them.
These rare souls, with a breath of kindness, bring joy and meaning to life. In an uncertain world, these angels faithfully comfort and make subtle positive change. "Angels," said writer Andrew Greeley, "represent God's personal care for each of us."
Miraculously, with life's passionate colors, each of us is an angel who can open our heart to others and make this world a better place for those we love.
Therapist Virginia Satir once said, "I believe the greatest gift I can conceive of having from anyone is to be seen, heard, understood, and touched by them. The greatest gift I can give is to see, hear, understand, and touch another person."
Celebrate those who matter today. Share your heart. Reach out to others with peace and love.

This is one thing we can do as a resolution for next year - that will be easy to do - be some one's angel. Be some one's wind beneath their wing -
I've had angels (real woman) hold me up when I thought I couldn't go on - and we need to share that with others. Something I've found too - a loss doesn't go away in 6 or 8 weeks - a loss can go on for a long time - and maybe one's persons loss wouldn't be something that would be ours - no matter - let's go out there and be supportive and fly!
"Teach us delight in simple things." ~ Rudyard Kipling (Happy Birthday)

Another great post Chatty!
I do know that there are angels that come to help us in our time of need. I always pray for angels to help those who are in a great need. I believe the Lord hears and answers my prayers and sends angels to those that need them.
Happy New Year!
Angela
We never know when the angel will appear but they always seem to be there when we need them even if it is only a kind word on a bad day. Happy New Year. Stella

Hey Sandie! Loved this post, that Kipling quote is perfect. Just perfect.
Oh this is so true!! Angels come in all shapes, sizes and ages and when we need them. I have been so blessed with Joy even in this very hard year. Thanks for helping me put it into words!
There will never be too much kindness in the world, rather, a never ending need for it!
I think, like I think I said before, that God has us go through painful things so we in turn can help others and support them when they are going through their own painful things. We just need to always be aware of trying to encourage others and being there for them as much as we can

I so believe in Angels...And people whom come in and touch our lives...when one needs it most...or perhaps when they weren't looking for it!
I be;ieve angels come in the form of friends on earth! And ;) blogging buddies!
A great thought for the year ahead, to be an angel in someone's life. Thanks, Sandie, for your angel thoughts and good wishes. So appreciated! Wishing you hope, happiness and good health in the year ahead.
Here are some secrets from me the tweedles.
my mommy has been touched by bloggie people. People she does not know. People she will probably never know. But my mommy screamed in her heart for a touch from anywhere- and she has been touched , YUP touched because i see her smile.
I bet it was one of your angel friends.
All your words have special meanings to us.

I, too, believe in angels (both heavenly and earthly) and believe I've seen a few and seen the works of many others during my lifetime.
Several of my earthly "angels" from this past year write blogs... Betty (That Corgi), Susan (CorgiDogMama), and Monica (Classy Chassy), to name a few. Just from the short time I've known you, I think you might be another. As has been said, an angel is a messenger from God to give us HIS messages in one way or another... :)
Have a God Blessed New Year, my friend. Linda
