Show and Tail - The Squirrel Saga Continues . . .

Welcome to the Twenty Fourth Weekly Segment of Tuesdays' Show & Tail!

Angela at West Virginia Treasure - hopes everyone will join her every Tuesday to post a picture or two of your pets, wildlife or visit to the zoo and tell a little about them!

Tuesdays' Show & Tail is about having fun, and giving us a chance to meet other pet owners in the blogging community.

If you are visiting and would like to join in on the fun, please do so! She said everyone is welcome.

Now the saga of my squirrels resumes - the story has been going on for over 3 months. Now we've tried to get them in every peaceful way we knew - now we our at war!

We have caught two. I told you about the first one - we thought we had poisoned him and then hours later he woke up! We had him in a box ready for the garbage man and we come down in the garage and he is squeaking like heck so the hubby goes and takes him to the lake. We had already had a funeral and prayers for him - for my grandson's sake.

The second one we did catch in a rat trap - and yes - he died - God rest his soul.

Okay now watch these raccoons - pretend the raccoons are squirrels - that's what my squirrels are doing in the attic over the bedroom!

Okay so far we have had the house fixed up, the gutters closed up, and rain guards installed. $1600.00.

And do you know what! I still have a #@%&@# squirrel in my attic! I feel like I 'm living the movie Caddyshack. The sage continued. Two down - more to go!

Happy Birthday to Jerry Lewis - wikipedia
He has a string of health issues and he's still going!

Lewis has suffered years of back pain after a fall that almost left him paralyzed when he flipped off a piano on March 20, 1965 while performing at the Sands Hotel in Las Vegas. He became addicted to the pain killer Percodan, but says he has been off the drug since 1978 and has not taken one since. In April 2002, Lewis had a "Synergy" neurostimulator, developed by Medtronic, implanted in his back, which has helped reduce the discomfort. He is now one of Medtronic's leading spokespeople.

In December 1982, Lewis suffered a serious heart attack and then a second minor heart attack on June 11, 2006. It was discovered that he had pneumonia as well as a severely damaged heart. He underwent a cardiac catheterization and two stents were inserted into one of his coronary arteries, which had become 90% blocked. The surgery resulted in a return of blood flow to his heart and has allowed him to continue his rebound from earlier lung problems.

In 1999, his Australian tour was cut short when he had to be hospitalized in Darwin with viral meningitis.

Lewis has battled prostate cancer, diabetes I,and pulmonary fibrosis, and has had two heart attacks. Prednisone[24] treatment in the early 2000s for pulmonary fibrosis resulted in weight gain and a noticeable change in his appearance. Some months thereafter, Lewis began an arduous, months-long drug rehabilitation which weaned him off prednisone and enabled him to return to work.

He's brought a lot of laughter to my life - best wishes.

Good Morning Sweetie...
Hope you are having a great day. Rested maybe with those pesky squirrels in the attic. I think a squirrel trap or two up there would solve the problem.

Jerry Lewis, I adored watching him with Dean Martin and even with Phyllis Diller. She was always my favorite. I adored watching her in the Disney movies as a kid. I loved her crazy clothes, which were way ahead of her time.

Thanks for the memories sweetie. Hope you have a great day. We are expecting mid 80's today. Yeah! I love the heat.

Country hugs and much love, Sherry

Hi Sandie, I was thinking that squirrels in the attic are better than rats in the attic, but my hubs calls squirrels rats with big tails..hope you are able to have some peace soon..

Have a wonderful day

I can just imagine the squirrels partying down in your attic after watching that cute video! You've invested a lot in your house to be rid of the squirrels. What else do you have in store for them??? Any more surprises??

Oh my gosh Sandie! Do you think that there is one now trapped in your attic after you're done all of that work to keep them out?

I don't know what to tell you to do about those critters! The video was funny! The ones in the back looked like they were making out! lol

HI CHATTY!!!!!
I went back from a saved comment from you, if someone asks me a question, I save it til I can answer it!!! That way people really know I read every comment and I do answer them!!!
The little girls dresses and my older niece's skirt was made by someone, I do not know who, but there is a website called ETSY, that makes all KINDS of GREAT CRAFTS!!!!!
They bought the outfits from there!!!! My daughter LOVES this website as do i!!!!
SHE likes to say Camdyn has a COUTURE wardrobe!!!!!haha
What she means is Camdyn's clothes are hand made by loving hands, most are stay at home Mom's who reside in Utah and are probably LDS(MORMONS) they are adroable and very WELL Made!!!!!
AND the prices are unbelievable!!!! Under 20.00 for that dress with her name sewn in it as well!!!!ANd that included shipping!!!!!
Now on to question #2
I have an older sister Reda--who went on the Florida trip with us. SHe has 3 children like me-2 girls then a boy!!!! Her 2nd daughter came along on the trip along with her 2 daughters, my niece has 2 boys as well, Olivia and Jackson are twins!!!!!
My younger sister lives in Seattle, I went to the Olympics with her!!!!
Just a few posts back from the Florida trip!!!!!
The Olympics was a Christmas /Birthday gift and a check off my bucket list!!!!!
The Florida trip was a trip us girls planned after Christmas, kind of a gift for the Birthday girls!!!!!
I do have 2 daughters and a son!!!
Our oldest daughter and her family live right around the corner from us, our 2nd daughter is a Manager for WALT DISNEY WORLD, so that trip was virtually FREE!!!!
NO HOTEL needed, free admissions to the parks everyday!!!!!
Food(nice restaurants too, all 50 % off) thanks DISNEY!!!!! Disney gives ALL employees a gift booklet with coupons in it for Christmas every year, like 50% off Restaurants --40% off restaurnats --30%off Restaurants, well Stacie has so many friends who cannot afford even 50% off a these fine restaurants they give her all of there coupons!!!!
So some of those days if we had to pay full price for the meals we ate it woudl have been over 100.00, but we all figured it out, we all pretty much ate for under 30.00 per day!!!!!
GREAT DEALS HUH!!!!!
That is the price and reward for Stacie working 2200 miles away from me!!!!!
I love that she is soooo HAPPY with her Great job, but oh boy do we miss her!!!!!!!
I did just go to Canada to the Olympics, but again, that was my Christmas/Birthday gift!!!!
My husband says he pays me $1.00 a week for all the work I do around here and then plane tickets!!!!haha
I am so BLessed, and I thank God for allowing me this pleasure to go and visit my family!!!!
have a great Blessed day my dear blogging friend!!!!
hugs,
jamie

I had to laugh when I read your post. I am waiting for my husband to come home because we have another squirrel in the trap in our backyard. Third one this week. My husband is just taking them to a park but I am wondering if they don't have a homing device. Hope you find peace soon.

Thanks for leaving such a sweet comment about my post.

Sandie, they have things at Home Depot or Lowe's that emit a high frequency sound that is supposed to run the squirrels out. I've never tried them, but noted that if I ever needed to I would! Good luck. They are pesky little critters!

I think you need to start charging the squirrels rent and then maybe they'll move :)

do any of your neighbors have the same problem?? I bet you will be so thankful when you don't hear the pitter-patter of little feet over your head any more.

I always admired the work Jerry Lewis did for muscular dystrophy. It would be nice to have found a cure for it within his lifetime

That would drive me nuts!!!!! I am so sorry that it has been going on so long. I wish I had any suggestions for you!

Okay - I have 2 squirrel traps that are cages, 4 glue traps, and 6rat traps. Do you think I could sell my house now?

I have to think of them as squirrels and not rats or I would die!

I have no idea what to do next! I suppose to have a hunter come!

Yes there is another one or more caught up in the attic.

Now the high frequency thing we haven't tried yet.

And yes - they leave their 'scent' as a trail to come back - you have to take them past a river or lake.

Love,
your little ole squirrel expert,
Chatty

They probably are making out and making little ones.
