Hi Sandie! Cool post. I have always admired the courage and sheer gutsiness of Helen Keller. We should all be so blessed to view the world as she did, even though she lived in darkness. And the video was a hoot. You find the darndest things, Sandie. Hey! It's cute how our pictures are showing in the thumbnails. Was it always like that? Nice job! Susan
Hey Sandie!
What beautiful words that Helen Keller said back then. People don't talk like that anymore.
Hugs,
Angela
I've always enjoyed those quotes of Helen Keller's too, and the video was priceless! I've already shared that with a bunch of friends. Thanks! :D
The quotes are wonderful. I'm especially thankful for the one on the death of friends. I will take that thought with me. Wishes for a great week!
Hi Sandie! Great post! I've always been so impressed with Helen Keller. I don't think I could possibly go through life the way she did....without sight AND hearing. She lived in a totally dark and quiet world. How in the world did she achieve all that she did? And be poetic and joyful? Thanks for sharing!
Good to hear from you. Yes, I lived on Tybee Island (aka Savannah Beach, GA)... since it's about 20 minutes and 3 bridges away from Savannah. I lived there until the age of 14 years old and my dad was transferred to Pittsburgh, PA. But has always had a home on Tybee. My parents retired some years back and permanently reside on Tybee. Loved your post today!!! Have a great week.
