U.S. Space and Rocket Museum in Alabama

Yesterday we took a side trip to Hot Alabama! Whew! We went to the U.S.Space and Rocket Museum in Alabama thanks to Sue who told us that there was a Star Wars exhibit going on there for a couple of months.
The GS loves Star Wars so what else could we do?
The exhibit was great, but you couldn't use flash for the exhibit so my pictures were all dark. Any how - we all had a great time.

Happy Birthday to Paula Michelle - wikipedia (slim pickings)

Paula Michelle Devicq (born July 7, 1965; Edmonton, Alberta) is a Canadian actress, best known for her role as Kirsten Bennett Thomas Salinger on the television drama Party of Five, a role she played from 1994 to 2000. Devicq was also in the short-lived but critically-acclaimed A&E network series 100 Centre Street starring Alan Arkin. She starred in the tv movie "Wounded Heart", an emotional drama set in Texas, where her role as a grownup daughter finding love on her return to her hometown to see her ailing father saw her give a strong performance as a woman struggling between two worlds of city and country. As a native of Edmonton and Vancouver, she was a fan of curling and used to practice figure skating two hours before and after school each day.

Seems you had a perfect day at the exhibit! They're showing Star Wars reruns on cable this week. We watched one the other day and it was fun to look at how production has changed in film making.

Oh Sandie Sweetie...
What a fun time you all had. I can just see the happiness on the sweet face of that grandson of yours. He looks precious standing beside the characters. I like the one of Chewbacca over his shoulder.

My oldest son and DH are big fans of Star Wars, they would have loved this trip as well.

Thank you for sharing, and I am so thrilled you are having such a wonderful vacation sweetie.

Have a beautiful day. Country hugs...Sherry

Hey Sandie!

You are have a very busy Summer this year! Full of fun activities for your grandson. He's not going to want to go back to school! lol My kids on the other hand would jump at the chance to go back to school because all we are doing lately is just sitting at home because it is too hot to do anything outside at all! It is too hot to swim!

Hugs,
Angela

Hello Sandie~Star Wars has been a fascination with my boys ever since their childhood, but back then it was also love for the (SW) Ewoks too. You really don't hear much about them in the trilogy after their earlier movie debut. I thought they were adorable. We owned a video cassette tape that my son played over and over again, until he wore it out.
There's an exhibit in Seattle that we've talked about going to, but I doubt there will be any of those furry Ewoks present.

FYI~I thoroughly enjoy your videos, keep em coming!

Sweet wishes,
Sara
