Pink Saturday

I'm having the dickens of a problem with my computer and my pictures. Hubby changed the anti- virus protectors and since then I have been having some huge problems. Today is the worst. This has taken me over a hour to do - so sorry there are not more pink pictures.

I'm thinking pigs - pigs are pink. And the reason I'm thinking pigs is that next weekend we're going to Cincinnati to visit my son for his 35th (can't believe it) - birthday and the baby shower is Saturday!

And how do pigs and Cincinnati relate - well in Cincinnati - PIGS CAN FLY!

Be sure and go check Beverly's at How Sound the Sound .

Happy Birthday to Danielle Steele - Wikipedia

Her parents were John Schulein Steel, a descendant of the founders of Löwenbräu beer, and Norma da Câmara Stone Reis, the daughter of a Portuguese diplomat. Steel spent much of her early childhood in France, where from an early age she was included in her parents' dinner parties, giving her an opportunity to observe the habits and lives of the wealthy and famous. Her parents divorced when she was seven, however, and she was raised primarily in New York City by her father, rarely seeing her mother, who had moved to Europe.

Steel started writing stories as a child, and by her late teens had begun writing poetry. A graduate of the Lycée Français de New York, class of 1965, she studied literature design and fashion design, first at Parsons School of Design in 1963 and then at New York University from 1963–1967.

In 1965, when she was only 18, Steel married banker Claude-Eric Lazard. While a young wife, and still attending New York University, Steel began writing, completing her first manuscript the following year, when she was nineteen. After the birth of their daughter, Beatrix, in 1968, Steel became a copywriter for an advertising agency, then worked for a public relations agency in San Francisco. A client was highly impressed with her press releases and encouraged her to concentrate on writing books.

Interesting that writers are influenced by their early lives.

that's a cute picture, it reminds me of when my niece was twelve years old and we asked her when she was going to get married, she answered, "when pigs fly". Fast forward fifteen years later and now she's engaged, haha, when pigs fly, yeah right!

Happy Pink Saturday, hope you have a great time with your son.

Well, I guess this just goes to prove that I am not nearly as observant as I would like to believe I am. For I have been to Cincinnati many times. In fact, I have spent many a night down on the waterfront while waiting to be unloaded here and there, but I never saw any pigs flying past. No, not nary a one. Sigh.

Hey Sandie! Love the flying pigs! I'm finding it very weird that so many of us are having some kind of computer problems, and all at the same time. Kind of unnerving....
Sorry I haven't been stopping by much lately again. I can't seem to keep up! Happy birthday to your son! I know how special they are!!

I hope you have a great visit with your son and his wife!!

You know, I'm having some computer issues too, and they came about after my husband did an anti-virus thing as well. We got a virus a few weeks ago, and he repaired it, then did the anti-virus thing. But since then, there are a number of blogs I am unable to access. I continually get an "operation aborted" screen pop up, and then it will not open the page. To the best of my ability, I have determined that this is happening on blogs with Shabby Blogs backgrounds. I used to be able to access those blogs, and I can still access Shabby Blogs website, but for some reason, since that anti-virus went on, my computer will not allow the pages to open. Go figure!! I can definitely relate to your frustration.

Anyhow, have a lovely day,
Patti

G'day CC ~ What a cute clever way to cover up google's inefficiencies right now. Pink solves everything.

I'll have to share my 'when pigs fly' one day ...

Have a lovely PS summer weekend ~

What an adorable "angel" piggie ... a great example of determination!
Soooo sorry to hear about the invasion of your computer gremlins. I hate it when faced with an inanimate object smarter than me!

That's how my problem started with my computer - all because of some virus protection/security thingy. I actually am beginning to hate those.

Well, if pigs do fly in Cincinnati, the impossible should be possible, so you might as well and go out on a limb and take some chances.

Happy pink Saturday :-)

I got a nasty virus on my ancient PC about two weeks ago. I ended up buying an iMac. . . mainly cuz they aren't as likely to get a bug. I'm clueless when it comes to fixing them....you're lucky your hubby can.

Love the Pig Flying!!! Too cute. Have a great trip and Happy Pink Saturday. Dana
