Sunday's prayers . . .

Just thinkin' today . . .

I have a friend whose mother fell and broke her hip in NC. I wish I could just fly up there and help.

I have a friend that was abused as a child and I want to wrap my arms around her.

I have a friend that wants to move south so bad - wish I could move her.

Another one starting a new job after a couple of years.

Another one still needing a job.

A couple friends of mine are going to be new grandmothers and I'm waiting for my grandson to be born around Nov, 11th.

Someone just getting out of rehab after two years.

Another one with problems at work.

Someone going thru a divorce.

Some one dealing with a suicide of a relative.

The death of a son.

The death of a daughter.

Someone with a special needs grandson.

Kidney stones and surgery.

Friends dealing with depression.

Friends needing a little more money just to live.

And more . . . whew - God has a HUGE job doesn't he?

So many times I ask myself what I can do. My only answer is PRAY! Be strong for others and be there as well as I can for my friends.

When the wind blows hard on a tree, the roots stretch and grow the stronger. Let it be so with us. Let us not be weaklings, yielding to every wind that blows, but strong in spirit to resist. - Amy Carmichael

I know too - in our troubles this is is true -
We either make ourselves miserable or we make ourselves strong. The amount of work is the same.

And at the end of our troubles - when we survive them - there is Joy in the Morning -

The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain.
- Kahlil Gibran

MY FAVORITE FOR TODAY ~~~~~~~

The will of God is never exactly what you expect it to be. It may seem to be much worse, but in the end it's going to be a lot better and a lot bigger.

Sandie all this is so true. All we can do sometimes is pray! I tell myself even with all my problems I am very lucky to be doing so well right now. Thank you dear Lord for all your blessings to me.

You have a lot of friends facing problems! I believe one outcome for and reason for suffering is to make us sympathize with others and truly feel for them and want to help. BUT, did I know you are having a grandson in a couple weeks? How exciting!! How close are they? Will you get to see him right away?

Amen Sandie! I think we all know someone who is having some kind of struggles or situations in their lives that most times the only think we can do is say a prayer for them.

Thanks for all your prayers!

Nice post, Sandie! :)

God will take care of us! :) We just have to trust in Him. He'll answer our prayers. And if He doesn't, maybe He sees something we don't. :)

Yes Honey all those things are terrible, sad, heartbreaking and just downright not fair, but I know for a fact there is a blessing in every sadness as it is a chance to be closer to the Lord.

And you are doing the best thing any one can do and that is pray! Love you sister, Mollye

So true and so touching, Sandie! Thank you, I so needed this tonight! I have a friend who I want to help so much, all I can do though is pray. Your post reminded me that none of us are alone even the ones who want to help & that it could always be worst, for both us and the ones we care about!

Perfect Sunday post! Thank you!!
