These stories can be our own pets or just something interesting about animals Please check her blog out and join us.

“There are two big forces at work, external and internal. We have very little control over external forces such as tornadoes, earthquakes, floods, disasters, illness and pain. What really matters is the internal force. How do I respond to those disasters? Over that I have complete control.” —Leo Buscaglia

“Your assumptions are your windows on the world. Scrub them off every once in a while, or the light won't come in. ”
—Alan Alda

This guy was out hunting and after he shot his elk he set his camera on self timer and took a pic.
He about died when he got home and took a look........

It is kind of funny don't you think? We think we are in control and we really aren't - are we?

If he was hunting for just the sake of hunting and not for food, he should have been scared!

You find some great things Sandie!

Both those guys are lucky to be alive. Those pictures reinforce my determination to stay out of the woods.

If it is amazing to find that we were in danger after the fact, just think how many times we've been in some precarious position and were never made aware of it.

My guardian angel never has a day off. ;-)

Gosh, what scary pictures! And what a cool thing to find and post! This really does show us that even when we think everything is fine, there are dangers lurking that we have no idea of! I think that God protects us many times from these things, and we just have no idea of it!! We sometimes wonder why does this or that have to happen to me? But it might have been a lot worse if not for divine intervention!

Love the pictures and the quotes!! I always loved Leo Buscaglia. Did you ever see him on TV? He used to be on PBS alot. Such an inspiration. And that Alan Alda, he's such a neat guy!

You're so right, we may think we're in control, but we really aren't.

You are right! I have been in two situations dealing with snakes and my dog saved my life twice.I was in the flowerbed two different times and the snakes were there and I didnt see them.

Reminds me of Harry and the Hendersons. It is one of my favorite movies ever! Harry went home with the family and he really taught them some great lessons!
You are always so sweet to me. Pray cause we are coming down to the wire with the house. The owner is taking care of some of the repairs so....we should be able to close Nov 17th unless a major road block comes up! I am excited! Hugs Anne

I've seen the second picture before. I agree totally with the first picture! LOL

Is that quote from a M*A*S*H episode??

OK - here's what I learned from this "Show and Tail."

1. Never mess with Mama Bear.

2. Never mess with a cougar...(PUN intended!!)

No, we're really NOT in control. However, I know Someone who is - He's my friend!

GOD BLESS!

OH, how scary! I can't believe he didn't see that cat there or sense that cat there, but I guess they are stealthy. Boy, I would have freaked had I seen it! And the bear... there have been lots of attacks lately, and frankly, I don't blame the bears. Man has encroached on their territory!

XO,

Sheila :-)

Okay, these photos are great! Thanks for the laugh! I love the chicken cartoon. Reminds me of a t-shirt my son has of corn cobs watching popcorn pop in the microwave. Funny.
