Sunday's Gift
Acts 2:38
A woman had just returned to her home from an evening of church services , when she was startled by an intruder. She caught the man in the act of robbing her home of its valuables and yelled: 'Stop! Acts 2:38!' (Repent and be Baptized, in the name of Jesus Christ , so that your sins may be forgiven.)
The burglar stopped in his tracks. The woman calmly called the police and explained what she had done.
As the officer cuffed the man to take him in, he asked the burglar: 'Why did you just stand there? All the old lady did was yell a scripture to you.'
'Scripture?' replied the burglar.. 'She said she had an Ax and Two 38s!'
(Thanks Monica)
Enjoy your Sunday.

"Now I wake me up to live;
I'll give life all I have to give.
If today I face a test,
I'll cope and pray to do my best.
With each breath and stepI take,
be with me, Lord, forheaven's sake."
From Guidepost reader Charlotte Guttormsen who starts her day with this prayer.

LOL love this one, we had a home invasion in our neighbors house across the street yesterday, they broke in while he was asleep, just before daybreak, 6:40 AM we saw the flashing lights and cops going up and down the street. they were searching for them, so when bob left i locked the doors and laid the 38 on the counter. i will have to remember the acts 2:38 thing

Hey Sandie!
I don't know what I would do if I found someone in my house. Not sure scripture would come to mind!
