Tuesday Show and Tail - where is Angela?
Well, I do hope Angela is okay - she didn't have a Show and Tail going today. Maybe her computer is out due to all the flooding. She is okay - she just put up her blog late due to computer problems. Check Angela out and join us with an animal story - it's never to late to join.
I actually had a real story today. Last week - during the school break - we went to Pine Mountain, GA - where we went on a safari at Wild Animal Safari.
We love going there - and they have two parts to it. A drive through part - where you feed the animals right from the car. And a walk through - where they have all sorts of baby animals and a big crocodile!
“With every experience, you alone are painting your own canvas, thought by thought, choice by choice. ” —Oprah Winfrey
So here is what I saw last Wednesday - hope you enjoy my canvas.
Here is the hubby, grandson, and Chatty starting out in the walking zoo. And I could go with no knee pain!
Here is the grandson and baby Sheraton (giraffe).
See the grandson's new shirt? I got slobbered!
Isn't that a beautiful Kangaroo?
And man, this guy was strutting his stuff!
This was my grandson's favorite so back we went to feed him.
We had some feed left over from the safari so Sheraton got it.
My grandson LOVES to have his picture taken (and no he did not get that from me!)
Although I do pose if I have too - lol.
Now we are in the driving part of the safari - we rented one of their vans for $10 an hour in case of any animal damage.
And here was the big mouth of the trip. They actually come up to the van - open their mouth - and you can put the food right in their mouth. Their slobbering mouth.
What is more slobbery than a horse? Two horses. We have been here before and we knew to bring our slobber rags.
On the back windows of the van there are bars.
A lion behind a fence of course.
These are the mama and papa giraffes and they come right on down too.
Goofy smiles and what is more slobbery then two horses? ONE COW - they are the worst and their breathe stinks.
Look at that long tongue - they meant business.
There were deers, pigs, ducks, zebra's, ostriches, wort hogs, giraffes, rhino, buffalo, deer, sheep, llamas, and much, much more.
And my two favorite things - daughter and grandson.
Maybe I will put on more tomorrow if y'all are interested. I love animals. lol
Let me know if you like my canvas and tell me about yours.
Love,
chatty

Looks like a fun day... that peacock is beautiful!
Amazing photos, and it looks as if you all had a super day out, especially your grandson with his beaming smile!! Didn't like the extra long tongue on one of those animals though! LOL! How marvellous that you didn't have any knee pain. YAY!
I have thoroughly enjoyed my visit at your blog. Loved all the photos and reading your older posts. I will be following along.
What great pictures!! I'm glad you could walk around without any knee pain! That's great news!
Those long tongues kind of gross me out a little.
I like your GS's shirt! That is too cute. I'm glad you had a fun day, slobber and all!:)
I hope all is well w/ Angela.
What a great time! Pierce would've loved this place!
Oh Sandie, GREAT job with the photos. That one with the gigantic teeth was a winner! Oh, do put more.
GS was a riot, too, and he is a true #1 ham. Loved seeing him!
Great tour. More tomorrow please. Susan
Great pictures! That looks like a lot of fun to ride through!
I was wondering if Angela had problems with the storms that came through yesterday, Kiddo! Hope she's OK! Great adventure for you that the GS!...:)JP
Hi Sandie,I loved this post. All the pics were just great. Hard to choose a favorite! The animals were great too! Blessings jane
YES, YES, YES - I want more pictures!!
The many animal faces (and tongues) were so funny! I liked the little donkey out the back of the car. And I agree with GS - Sheraton was my favorite, too.
Your canvas is perfect! My canvas includes family and friends, the beauty of nature, God's precious animal creatures, and the joy of doing His work!
Let's keep painting, my chatty little friend.
YAY for the knee!!
That would be so much fun! What a hoot, especially when they stuck their heads in the jeep.
I always took my Special Ed. class on a trip to a local Animal Park each year. I adore any kinda baby animal!!! I want that baby giraffe!!!
God bless and have a beautiful day!!1
Giveaway...my place!
Yes! I'd love to glimpse more pictures, Sandie!
...Those "dental" poses just crack me up!
Sooo glad you were able to stroll pain-free!
Oh my gosh! That looked like so much fun! Wish we had something like that close by where we live. I love that baby giraffe! Those long tongues! lol Looks like Andy had a great time!
Thanks for sharing your safari with us!
Tuesdays' Show & Tail!
Angela
Sandie,
NO KNEE PAIN? Thank you, Jesus! That is just wonderful.
LOVE the peacock! Love the horse teeth pic. Your grandson looks like he is having the time of his life!
xo, Cheryl
Sandie, you amaze me with your posts. They are always so interesting and fun. Great pictures. Kudos to the photographers!
Wow -- look at you walking around on your new bionic knee! Way to go. This looks like a perfect place to take a kid your gs's age.
Looks like fun! I love the pictures, too cute! When my children were much younger we took them to a similar safari in Toronto. They didn't have any thing to rent so we drove our own van. Well, an orangatan (sp?) hopped on and it was hysterical. But, he broke off our side view mirror and boy was hubby mad! But, I had to tell him where else can you say an organatan broke off your mirror, right???? Too funny!
Hugs,
Jacalyn
yes do share more pictures! that looks like a fun place to go! I've been to petting zoos, I've been to places where you drive through and see the animals, but never where you could feed some of them like this! I bet it was fun for GS to feed the giraffe!! That was my mom's favorite animal; she would have gotten a kick to do something like that!!
I like the concept of renting a vehicle too for such a low rate just in case! With my luck something would have happened to my vehicle and the insurance wouldn't have covered it!
I hope you share more pictures!
betty
I love it! This looks so fun and Andy was adorable...I especially love the cheesy smile photo!
Hmmmmm...my Canvas ( I love Oprah) I would say my canvas is a collage...I gather my thoughts there...todays thought is how much I am like someone I cherish! This person knows to carry slobber rags...when she takes her Grandson to the Safari...I carry slobber rags because I have a teething drooling grandaughter ( whose little teeth look like that of a hippo right now) My friend and I are at different places in the world...but...lol...we have acommon thread in our slobber rags! Deep sigh...we are Grandmas!
Oh what fun and can't believe those big mouths!!
All of your "paintings" are masterpieces!
You have so much fun with the family! I like the photos you took, Anne
