Tuesdays' Show and Tail . . .

I am joining my pal Angela at West Virginia's Treasure for her Show and Tail - please check her blog out and learn all about it - share in our fun!

Starting out with our morning exercises . . .

My little GS is sick today and his little dog Disco is staying in bed and has decided to sleep in with him. . .

Last weekend we went to Swift Cantrell Park in Kennesaw, GA. A great park that is practically unknown of. It had tow playgrounds - one for the younger children and one for the older ones.

There were signs all over the park explaining different positive concepts - this was Perseverance.

It's complete with two dog parks - one for under 30 pounds and one for over 30 pounds.

Disco was a rescue dog - he had some part of abuse because he's so protective and loving and grateful to us for having him. He's still a bit 'skiddish' and very cautious. He just doesn't know how to play and let go. He's a great 'smeller' though.

He's trying, but he'd just rather smell!

There are signs all around explaining the Iditarod. There's a trail named after Fisher King - a dog that ran in the races. These dogs are special - highly trained - they love running - and are tough dogs.

The lead dog was Fisher King.

And it comes complete with a skate board ramp - had we tried it - one of us would have been killed! lol

I'll also be joining A Southern DayDreamer - Outdoor Wednesday = see other places to visit and join her with places you have visited!

No one grows old by living, only by losing interest in living. - Marie Beynon Ray

Love, Chatty

That Disco sure does know how to take a nap! hehehe I hope Andy feels better soon! The dog park looked really big. I've only seen one of them around here and it isn't near as big as my front yard. My dogs would laugh at me if I took them there! lol Little dogs like Disco are always timid when meeting other dogs. My chihuahua was never abused but when we would take her some where where she would see other dogs she would always try to stand her ground around them. It's a personality trait that they have I think. No way would I ride a skate board on that! The one they built here looks like child's play compared to that one! Wow!

Tuesdays' Show & Tail!

Awwwww, Sandie. I'm so sorry Andy is under the weather. But look at that Disco. What a great pup to keep his Master company on the sick bed. Gosh. That was adorable. Take care, Sandie. Susan

Your grandson does not look good, what's wrong? Did he want to try that ramp? Does he have a skateboard? I love the quote about losing interest in living, that is SO true!!! Tell your grandson he is cute even when he's sick.

What a cute photo of the two "boys" sleeping in the bed together LOL

Gizzy would not do well in a dog park - I'd be afraid of a law suit! He's too much of a bully. His report card reads: "does not play well with others" ;-)

Hope you're having a nice day, Sandie!

HOWDY SWEET SANDIE,
I AM SO HAPPY TO HAVE FOUND YOU IN BLOGLAND, SANDIE. YOU SEEM LIKE AN ADORABLE LADY WITH A BIG HEART. YOUR GRANDSON IS A LOVELY LITTLE BOY. BLESS HIS HEART!! I'LL BE PRAYING FOR HIS PROMPT RECOVERY, DEAR. I SEE IN THE PIC THAT HE'S GOT A BEAUTIFUL PUPPY NEXT TO HIM. I STRONGLY BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF HEALINGS IN ANIMALS, ESPECIALLY WITH CHILDREN, DISABLED AND ELDERLY PATIENTS. ANIMALS GIVE SO MUCH UNSELFISH LOVE THAT HUMANS DO NOT GIVE. I AM AN ANIMAL RESCUER, A WILDLIFE AND PRAYER WARRIOR. I HAVE RESCUED MANY ANIMALS IN MY LIFETIME. MY HUBBY IS 70 YEARS OLD AND LOVES GEORGIA. HE WANTS TO VISIT THERE ONE DAY. WE MAKE PLANS TO RETIRE IN ONE LOVELY STATE WITH GOOD WEATHER CONDITIONS IN THE FUTURE. THANK YOU, SANDIE, FOR YOUR KIND VISIT IN MY BLOG!!
GOD BLESS YOU, SANDIE, AND ALL THOSE YOU LOVE!!
ALL THE BEST.
IN GOD'S GARDEN,
STARRY DAWN.

Aw heck, kids and pets sleeping cuddled together. Does it get cuter than that? Not that I've ever seen!

What a great park!

Disco, I'm a sniffer too! Can't be too careful and besides you took care of GS when he was sick! Sandie, what a great park. Thanks for showcasing it. I'm always fascinated by the whole idea of an iditarod (sp) - even if I can't spell it! Besides it involves snow I believe, I haven't been in that for many years. Ann

Oh, I never tire of seeing puppy-pix! DH and I did the sled-dog tour while in Alaska ... amazing!

PS - Is Andy doing OK? He didn't resemble your usual "crispy critter" in that pix!

poor GS!! So that illness finally got the best of him and he had to stay at home; hoping he is feeling better by tomorrow!!

I like that park! A little of everything, a dog park for two sizes, playgrounds for two age groups, information signs, etc. I really think that would be fun to explore. I think Disco did great at least getting out there among other dogs and not causing a ruckus, that wouldn't happen here for sure (Koda doesn't get a long with other dogs :)

cute picture of Disco and GS, just sorry GS was under the weather :(

Aww.. I'm sure his dog does make him feel at least a little better. Too cute! Hope GS feels better Soon too!

That is such a cool park! Some people are trying to get a dog park around here. It would be someplace to safely take Ms. Pickles. :-)

Hoping that your GS feels better soon. Looks like he's got the best buddy, though, for company! Such a cute picture.

We take Marty to a nearby dogpark. He's just like Disco - does a little bit of running with the other dogs - but mostly he's off on his own, sniffing like the hound that he is!

I love seeing the dogs interact - they're very much like people...
