I am joining my pal Angela at West Virginia's Treasure for her Show and Tail - please check her blog out and learn all about it - share in our fun!
Starting out with our morning exercises . . .
My little GS is sick today and his little dog Disco is staying in bed and has decided to sleep in with him. . .
Last weekend we went to Swift Cantrell Park in Kennesaw, GA. A great park that is practically unknown of. It had tow playgrounds - one for the younger children and one for the older ones.
It's complete with two dog parks - one for under 30 pounds and one for over 30 pounds.
Disco was a rescue dog - he had some part of abuse because he's so protective and loving and grateful to us for having him. He's still a bit 'skiddish' and very cautious. He just doesn't know how to play and let go. He's a great 'smeller' though.
He's trying, but he'd just rather smell!
There are signs all around explaining the Iditarod. There's a trail named after Fisher King - a dog that ran in the races. These dogs are special - highly trained - they love running - and are tough dogs.
The lead dog was Fisher King.
And it comes complete with a skate board ramp - had we tried it - one of us would have been killed! lol
I'll also be joining A Southern DayDreamer - Outdoor Wednesday = see other places to visit and join her with places you have visited!

I hope GS gets feeling better. He's lucky to have such a wonderful pet to be with him -- adorable!
The pup has sympathy sickness for your GS...cute. Hope your GS is feeling better soon. Something seems to be going around, I have heard more people being sick lately.
What a cute photo of your GS and his dog. That park sounds like a wonderful place to spend time with kids and the dogs too.
Howdy Sandie! LOVE the pic of Andy and Disco...way too cute! Take care of em' will ya?
Hey...I will get to adding a button...but do I show up yet? I tried to post for the last few days and have had UgLy problems...could be me or the puter or...well...
Did you not love Corgi Mommas post...laughing still...AND...oh sure...you get over there to post a comment first...making me look really bad...lol...(really just tryin to stir up Susan...please...lol..do not mention to her or ...lol...let anyone read my comment...but do you think she is menopausal? Giggling.....
What ever would make one think that Susan is menopausal? SHAME ON YOU LADYJANE!
So sorry GS is feeling bad today. I hope he gets better very soon!
What a cute picture of him and Disco. :)
Those parks look fun! I wish we had something like that around here.
Cute cartoon. :)
The dog park looks like SO much fun!
hope gs is feeling better quick. i love the photo of he and disco. what a lucky lucky dog to have a little boy to grow old with!
Sorry GS is sick! Disco looks so relaxed! While I've been sick Charlie has not left me much at all. They do know when we don't feel well. That park looks awesome. hugs, Linda
love that shot of disco with GS. so precious, my kind of bed mate. what a wonderful thing to have on Kennesaw. wow, i would love to go there.
That dog park looks so fun!
Hope your GS feels better soon.
That Disco sure does know how to take a nap! hehehe I hope Andy feels better soon! The dog park looked really big. I've only seen one of them around here and it isn't near as big as my front yard. My dogs would laugh at me if I took them there! lol Little dogs like Disco are always timid when meeting other dogs. My chihuahua was never abused but when we would take her some where where she would see other dogs she would always try to stand her ground around them. It's a personality trait that they have I think. No way would I ride a skate board on that! The one they built here looks like child's play compared to that one! Wow!
Tuesdays' Show & Tail!
Angela
Awwwww, Sandie. I'm so sorry Andy is under the weather. But look at that Disco. What a great pup to keep his Master company on the sick bed. Gosh. That was adorable. Take care, Sandie. Susan
Stopping by to say hello... I hope your grandson is doing ok.
Your grandson does not look good, what's wrong? Did he want to try that ramp? Does he have a skateboard? I love the quote about losing interest in living, that is SO true!!! Tell your grandson he is cute even when he's sick.
What a cute photo of the two "boys" sleeping in the bed together LOL
Gizzy would not do well in a dog park - I'd be afraid of a law suit! He's too much of a bully. His report card reads: "does not play well with others" ;-)
Hope you're having a nice day, Sandie!
How adorable that picture of your GS & Disco is!!!! That's a keeper!...:)JP
HI CHATTY!!
SO sorry your GS is sick. glad his best friend stayed by his side!!
What a GREAT PARK!!!!!
loved that tour!!
I love Sled dogs so that was quite interesting!!Considering you live in the South and NOT the north, even more so!!!
hugs,
jamie
How cute that the pup is snuggled with your grandson. Hope he's better soon.
HOWDY SWEET SANDIE,
I AM SO HAPPY TO HAVE FOUND YOU IN BLOGLAND, SANDIE. YOU SEEM LIKE AN ADORABLE LADY WITH A BIG HEART. YOUR GRANDSON IS A LOVELY LITTLE BOY. BLESS HIS HEART!! I'LL BE PRAYING FOR HIS PROMPT RECOVERY, DEAR. I SEE IN THE PIC THAT HE'S GOT A BEAUTIFUL PUPPY NEXT TO HIM. I STRONGLY BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF HEALINGS IN ANIMALS, ESPECIALLY WITH CHILDREN, DISABLED AND ELDERLY PATIENTS. ANIMALS GIVE SO MUCH UNSELFISH LOVE THAT HUMANS DO NOT GIVE. I AM AN ANIMAL RESCUER, A WILDLIFE AND PRAYER WARRIOR. I HAVE RESCUED MANY ANIMALS IN MY LIFETIME. MY HUBBY IS 70 YEARS OLD AND LOVES GEORGIA. HE WANTS TO VISIT THERE ONE DAY. WE MAKE PLANS TO RETIRE IN ONE LOVELY STATE WITH GOOD WEATHER CONDITIONS IN THE FUTURE. THANK YOU, SANDIE, FOR YOUR KIND VISIT IN MY BLOG!!
GOD BLESS YOU, SANDIE, AND ALL THOSE YOU LOVE!!
ALL THE BEST.
IN GOD'S GARDEN,
STARRY DAWN.
cute pic of your GS and Disco - what a blessing that dog turned out to be!
Hope GS feels better soon, dogs are wonderful friends than stick by you no matter what, what a terrific friend GS has.. :) Great park for them to spend time at too. :)fun post...Debb
Now THAT'S a dog park! How fun! It is so nice to have a buddy when you are not feeling good. Hope he is feeling better soon.
Aw heck, kids and pets sleeping cuddled together. Does it get cuter than that? Not that I've ever seen!
What a great park!
Disco, I'm a sniffer too! Can't be too careful and besides you took care of GS when he was sick! Sandie, what a great park. Thanks for showcasing it. I'm always fascinated by the whole idea of an iditarod (sp) - even if I can't spell it! Besides it involves snow I believe, I haven't been in that for many years. Ann
Oh, I never tire of seeing puppy-pix! DH and I did the sled-dog tour while in Alaska ... amazing!
PS - Is Andy doing OK? He didn't resemble your usual "crispy critter" in that pix!
poor GS!! So that illness finally got the best of him and he had to stay at home; hoping he is feeling better by tomorrow!!
I like that park! A little of everything, a dog park for two sizes, playgrounds for two age groups, information signs, etc. I really think that would be fun to explore. I think Disco did great at least getting out there among other dogs and not causing a ruckus, that wouldn't happen here for sure (Koda doesn't get a long with other dogs :)
cute picture of Disco and GS, just sorry GS was under the weather :(
betty
I love the last cartoon pic, do I shake her hand or snif her tail!!
I am so glad your grandson has his own mate, dogs are wonderful friends. I love looking at family photos, it makes everything so much more real. Love ya. C XXXX
Oh, I hope that your DGS is better soon, Sandie! I love Disco. He's such a sweetie pie.
Have missed you. Wanted to drop by and catch up with you. Hope you are doing well and improving with each day.
Love you...
XO,
Sheila :-)
I'm reminded of the movie Balto! LOVED that one, and haven't seen it in so long! I'm going to have to pick it up someday!.. Hope your grandson is feeling better soon! ~tina
Aww.. I'm sure his dog does make him feel at least a little better. Too cute! Hope GS feels better Soon too!
That is such a cool park! Some people are trying to get a dog park around here. It would be someplace to safely take Ms. Pickles. :-)
Hoping that your GS feels better soon. Looks like he's got the best buddy, though, for company! Such a cute picture.
We take Marty to a nearby dogpark. He's just like Disco - does a little bit of running with the other dogs - but mostly he's off on his own, sniffing like the hound that he is!
I love seeing the dogs interact - they're very much like people...
