Monday Musings - HOORAY FOR AMERICA!

"If anyone tells you that America's best days are behind her, they're looking the wrong way."
~ George H. W. Bush

HOORAY FOR AMERICA TODAY!

Don't get me wrong - I'm not rejoicing in his death, not at all - I don't like that particularly, but I am glad that he was caught.

What he did was wrong!

  5. I'm with you Sandie; glad he was caught because of the destruction and devastation and grief he caused, but it is sad he chose to define his life with so much hate and evil.

It is a good day though that people will be able to have maybe a bit of closure

  7. Oh my word.. I hadn't even HEARD this yet! I'm going to have to catch the news at noon today.. Well, I never dare try to speak for God, but I imagine Bin Laden if facing his actions head-on NOW, while he also faces his maker!

  8. Yay this showed up on my Reader!! I'm glad he was caught, he was on bad man!

  9. I can't fathom the hatred he felt, can you? There are actions people choose that I don't like, and even people such as Bin Laden who seem to be evil through and through, but to hate entire groups of people you don't know? That boggles my mind. We'll never know world peace with such hardened hearts in the world. Respecting the life of another human being should be so simple but it isn't for far too many.

  10. I agree. We never party that an evil person died, but only that his evil stopped.

    Blessings,

  11. Unfortunately we'll have to be on high alert now because although Bin Laden is dead, his movement is alive and well.

  12. Yes, I am glad he was caught too. But I must admit to being sad at all the rejoicing over his death. It really seems wrong to rejoice over someone's death...that's what the extremists did when they saw the destruction of 9/11.

So, I'll just echo what Jeanette said, "WE don't party that an evil man died, just that his evil stopped."

A huge thank you to our awesome military.

    Have a wonderful day.

    Love,
    Patti

  13. I'm really glad to hear someone else feels that way about his death. I would have preferred a live capture, trial, and imprisonment, but I'm glad he's been found!

  14. Hi Sandie -

I hadn't heard either. The real justice comes when he faces his Maker.

    Blessings,
    Susan

  15. O.K., I missed your posts ALL weekend!!! BAD me, BAD ME!!!! But they did not show up on the sidebar again!! As I went to bed, I thought I would e-mail you today to see what's going on. But it doesn't matter, I always scroll down and look for anything else on your blog, so I've caught up now. I LOVE the blind man video. And the pictures of your trip are outstanding. They are so beautiful and artistic that there are actually ones I like better than the cupcakes, how can it be??

  17. I agree completely with what you said and how you feel.

I'm proud of the way we did it, too.

  18. So proud to be an American, Sandie. So proud. Ol' Bin has met His maker. I do fear for the aftermath. We must be vigilent as there is so much evil in the world. Susan

  20. You can't rejoice in someone's death I believe, but we can rejoice in the fact that a dent has been put in the terrorism fight!
