Saturday's Saga

Your assignment - should you chose to accept today - is too feel the wind in your hair! Let your ears fly! Have fun!

USE OF BOTTLE TOPS TO SEAL A BAG.....

WHO EVER THOUGHT OF THIS HAD A GREAT IDEA! NO MORE TWIST TIES OR RUBBER BANDS.

This method is WATER PROOF AND AIR TIGHT. GREAT!

Seal Plastic Bags with Old Bottle Caps

Cut up a disposable water bottle and keep the neck and top, as in photo.

Insert the plastic bag through the neck and screw the top to seal.

The bag is made to be air-tight, such that water will not leak, the secret lies with the top and screw cap!

This was such a great idea to share. It was sent to me from Angela - West Virginia's Treasure and I thought it was a great idea - good for us and the environment too.

Love, Chatty

Saturday's Story to think about - from http://www.dailycelebrations.com/

"Hope, purpose and determination are not merely mental states. They have electrochemical connections that affect the immune system." ~ Norman Cousins

The immune system is a miraculous network of chemicals and cells, protecting the body against viruses, toxins, and bacteria. A strong immune system with superduper lymphocytes (those specialized, tiny white blood cells) will prevent, battle, and stop cancer and other diseases.

"No human being is immune to adversity or personal setbacks," former First Lady Hillary Clinton once said.

We can't avoid adversity, but we CAN nourish and strengthen our immunity. How? Eat a diet rich in protein, fruit, and vegetables. Have a solid intake of daily vitamins B, E, and iron.

And don't forget the most important vitamin--vitamin C, that vital ingredient and potent antioxidant that researchers say may one day be used to help heal damaged hearts.

Other immune system boosters? Avoid stress, excercise regularly, ban cigarettes, and cut back on alcohol. Breathe! Echinacea and ginseng are said to be helpful health herbs, too.

Get rid of emotional toxins and visualize goodness. Become a joy expert and celebrate life! You are what you think.

"Love heals." explained physician and mind-body connection expert Bernie S. Siegel. "Love is the most powerful known stimulant to the immune system."

~~Keep hope and love alive.

i saw a short special on the news last week and it said love, or having a spouse makes people live longer and stay healthier. it said one person watches the others health more than we watch our own. but it said it does not work unless the relationship is a good one and not a stressful one, if the relationship is a bad one, it makes the immune system worse. goes with what this post said

What a great idea on the bottle tops! Who thinks of these clever ideas?

And enjoyed the thoughts about health and the immune system. I remember Norman Cousins - I think he was right about laughter being good medicine.

Hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day!

GOD BLESS!

I liked that lower part about the immune system too.

I love the bottle cap idea!!! Another way to get good nutrition is Instant Breakfast. Really, a hospice nurse told us to forget buying Boost, which costs more, that I.B. is cheaper and works just as well. I add a tad of ice-cream and blend it up, yum!! The french vanilla and chocolate malt are soo good. Guess there's not many posts I can't bring back around to candy or ice-cream, sigh...

I LOVE this water-bottle tip!
But, you should have seen my DH when I started in on the bottle: "What are you doing to my bottles!?" (Frown.) He fills 'em with juice and freezes, to put in hig golf bag. (How boring is thaaaat?)

Nevertheless, I've a couple bags sprouting "blue bubbles" -- they look so cute! Thanks for the great idea!

Happy Mother's Day!!!!!!!!!

Hi Sandie,
You are not going to believe this but I got in such a hurry getting my daughter to the movie, that I forgot to open my window and stick my head out. I feel really bad for missing the opportunity.

Happy Mother's day! I hope it is the greatest for you!
