Remember, "we are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars!"
(Oscar Wilde).
(Thanks "ThisIsMe - Diane" - I borrowed that quote from your blog.)
I'm not going to give up on looking for my Mojo. I know I have it somewhere and one day I will lost weight!!! I see too I am not alone. We will all find it!
When you encounter difficulties and contradictions, do not try to break them, but bend them with gentleness and time.

Now I am feeling bad about how many times in the last week I have complained about 'feeling' old! haha. I never knew the jumping jack was named after Jack either :)
oh I know Sandie, but it's sooooo hard. I think I can do twenty minutes a day, I think that's doable but he did say rigorous....would stamping count? I do marathon stamping session when I have to make greeting cards to swap, lol. I gained my extra weight during pregnancy and never lost it....I know I need to get back on the bandwagon.
i guess i better start looking for my mojo!
Chatty, I expect your Mojo will come back when you least expect it to! Hope so anyway! I'm glad you included that quote by Oscar Wilde - I love it!
Come on mojo! I bet it's looking for you too...
This stuff about LaLanne is amazing, I didn't know any of it. So the jumping jack is named after him!! And he doesn't even look 80!!
How cool - I really enjoyed this little "movie" about Jack. Nice poem too :-) I run a few times a week - so am on the right track ?! lol I couldn't think of a live w/o exercise....think it's the hard work in the rowing club that did it...but I love it and I feel so much better! Especially when sitting in an office all day....
Sandie my mojo is taking a nap!
hey ma belle, I lost 2 more pounds and i am thinking the thyroid pills have kicked in. have you had your thyroid checked? i did not even know mine quit on me. I will ask God to help you find your mojo, in fact now is a good time. Dear Lord, please help CC find her mojo and get in the MOOD to eat a different food plan. Amen
Thanks Sandie! Loved the clip. He is inspiring. I want to keep moving till Jesus calls me home!
Hugs to you, friend!
Have a good weekend,
Karen :)
I love that quote by St. Francis of Asissi
Love that quote!
I remember as a kid watching Jack LaLane (uh-oh...did I spell it right?)excersing on television.
My mojo completely left me this week.
I loved Jack Lalanne. I enjoyed seeing He and Elaine with their characteristic positive and motivating message.
I needed to watch that today and realize just how old I'm NOT.
My mom used to exercise with him every morning. She sings a song sometimes that was his theme or something, but I can't remember how it goes. Now, I need to ask her.
Still good looking at 95 also. I am going to have to read his book.
Hey girl..I just realized that you live in Atlanta Ga.. a few years ago my husband and I lived in Lawernceville/Swannee.. and we LOVED,,,LOVED..LOVED IT.. but we were there for my husbands work, and then the branch closed down and we had to move back to Fla..
Have a great day..God Bless
Well I guess we'll just have to look for our mojo together......Mine is lost so I need to look for it.....
That was a very inspiring video....maybe today is the day.......
I was just going to write a post about looking for my blog mojo....I guess there are lots of mojos out there waiting for us to find them.
My mother like any good 60s housewife would faithfully follow Jack LaLane. He is a true institution and an inspiration. My mojo got left behind a couple of weeks ago. I hope to pick it back up in July! Ann
I remember watching him on tv for years...this is prove that the jumping jacks work. My Mojo has gone and I can't seen to find it anywhere.lol Trish
Hi Sandie...Great post. Very inspiring. Susan
How interesting!! I have never heard of him before this! And have been doing jumping jacks...well until after I have 3 kids!
When you find your Mojo would you pul-eez share it with me? I am whipped!
TY for your support this week, you mean a lot to me.
Have a beautiful weekend.
TTFN ~
Hugs,
Marydon
I do believe you will lose that weight Sandie! Some catalyst will come along that will finally be the right one to keep you motivated! It is hard to imagine Jack LaLane 95 years old; I remember watching his exercise show when I was young and he looked "old" then.
betty
Hi Sandie! When you find your mojo, will you send some to me??
I started weight watchers online on Tuesday, I'm sure I haven't lost anything yet, but mentally I feel lighter!
I love you blog, never miss it although I have been crummy about !
commenting lately, I promise to be better
hugs
Barb
today i feel like the old woman in the picture and that will show Calvins Mom for sure... i love calvin and hobbes and can't find my book
I remember his show on tv when I was a kid. Maybe if I do some cleaning this weekend I'll find my mojo. I bet it's buried in my craft room somewhere
Sandie - Your MOJO isn't missing, it's just hibernating. I know that you can do this!
I actually saw Jack LaLane in person on vacation once. He looked even more impressive in person than on TV. And seriously, was he ever on the forefront of the fitness movement!
It's cliche - but the first step is the hardest. But I just know, if you can lose even a few pounds, the incentive starts to pick up...trust me on that.
