In God We Trust - Water - and Bounce ?

I checked this out on snopes - tis true - Thanks Terry! IN GOD WE TRUST!
And think of this - this would be something positive to do for our world!

"You may have heard in the news that a couple of Post Offices in Texas have been forced to take down small posters that say 'IN GOD WE TRUST ,' The law, they say, is being violated..

Anyway, we heard proposed on a radio station show, that we should all write ' IN GOD WE TRUST' on the back of all our mail.

After all, that's our National Motto, and -----all the money we use to buy stamps. We think it's a wonderful idea.

We must take back our nation from all the people who think that anything that offends them should be removed.

If you like this idea, please pass it on and DO IT. The idea of writing or stamping 'IN GOD WE TRUST ' on our envelopes sounds good to us.

SOME PEOPLE ARE HAVING A RUBBER STAMP MADE TO ENSURE IT IS SEEN........lets use it as our signature on e-mails, too!

It's been reported that 86% of Americans believe in God. Therefore, we have a very hard time understanding why there's such a mess about having' 'In God We Trust!' on our money and having God in the pledge of Allegiance.

Could it be that WE just need to take action and tell the 14% to 'sit down and shut up'?"

I know this is probably pretty strong - but I do believe we need to take America back!

Just a friendly reminder - especially this HOT summer - to drink water!
WATER - Thank you Jean! I found this another good thing to hear about every so often.

#1.
75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated.
(Likely applies to half the world population)

#2. In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak
that it is mistaken for hunger.

#3. Even MILD dehydration will slow down one's metabolism as 3%.

#4. One glass of water will shut down midnight hunger pangs
or almost 100% of the dieters studied in a University of
Washington study.

#5.
Lack of water, the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue.

#6.
Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of
water a day could significantly ease back and joint pain
for up to 80% of sufferers.

#7.
A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term
memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on
the computer screen or on a printed page.

#8.
Drinking 5 glasses of water daily decreases the risk of
colon cancer by 45%, plus it can slash the risk of breast
cancer by 79%., and one is 50% less likely to develop
bladder cancer. Are you drinking the amount of water
you should drink every day?

'Bounce' This Along - Thanks Sharon.

"My mail carrier told me that the U.S. Postal service sent out a message to all letter carriers to put a sheet of Bounce in their uniform pockets to keep yellow-jackets away.

Use them all the time when playing baseball and soccer. I use it when I am working outside. It really works. The insects just veer around you.

All this time you've just been putting Bounce in the dryer!

1. It will chase ants away when you lay a sheet near them. It also repels mice.

2. Spread sheets around foundation areas, or in trailers, or cars that are sitting and it keeps mice from entering your vehicle.

3. It takes the odor out of books and photo albums that don't get opened too often.

4. It repels mosquitoes. Tie a sheet of Bounce through a belt loop when outdoors during mosquito season.

5. Eliminate static electricity from your television (or computer) screen.

6. Since Bounce is designed to help eliminate static cling, wipe your television screen with a used sheet of Bounce to keep dust from resettling..

7. Dissolve soap scum from shower doors. Clean with a sheet of Bounce.

8. To freshen the air in your home - Place an individual sheet of Bounce in a drawer or hang in the closet.

9. Put Bounce sheet in vacuum cleaner.

10. Prevent thread from tangling. Run a threaded needle through a sheet of Bounce before beginning to sew.

11. Prevent musty suitcases. Place an individual sheet of Bounce inside empty luggage before storing.

12. To freshen the air in your car - Place a sheet of Bounce under the front seat.

13. Clean baked-on foods from a cooking pan. Put a sheet in a pan, fill with water, let sit overnight, and sponge clean. The anti-static agent apparently weakens the bond between the food and the pan..

14. Eliminate odors in wastebaskets. Place a sheet of Bounce at the bottom of the wastebasket.

15. Collect cat hair. Rubbing the area with a sheet of Bounce will magnetically attract all the lose hairs.

16. Eliminate static electricity from Venetian blinds. Wipe the blinds with a sheet of Bounce to prevent dust from resettling.

17. Wipe up sawdust from drilling or sand papering. A used sheet of Bounce will collect sawdust like a tack cloth.

18. Eliminate odors in dirty laundry. Place an individual sheet of Bounce at the bottom of a laundry bag or hamper.

19. Deodorize shoes or sneakers. Place a sheet of Bounce in your shoes or sneakers overnight.

20. Golfers put a Bounce sheet in their back pocket to keep the bees away.

21. Put a Bounce sheet in your sleeping bag and tent before folding and storing them. It will keep them smelling fresh.

22. Wet a Bounce sheet, hose down your car, and wipe lovebugs off easily with the wet Bounce."

Quick, bounce this on within the next 5 minutes! However, nothing will happen if you don't!

Buy the store brand, it works just as well , is made in the USA and costs half as much.-

IN GOD WE TRUST

I read something interesting yesterday.

When they originally decided to put "In God we Trust" on our coins, Theodore Roosevelt disapproved saying, "My own feeling in the matter is due to my very firm conviction that to put such a motto on coins, or to use it in any kindred manner, not only does no good but does positive harm, and is in effect irreverence, which comes dangerously close to sacrilege...It is a motto which it is indeed well to have inscribed on our great national monuments, in our temples of justice, in our legislative halls, and in building such as those at West Point and Annapolis -- in short, wherever it will tend to arouse and inspire a lofty emotion in those who look thereon. But it seems to me eminently unwise to cheapen such a motto by use on coins, just as it would be to cheapen it by use on postage stamps, or in advertisements."

Look how far we have come?

And not in a good way.

Great post.

That's great information about water. I need to drink more water and less Diet Pepsi. Great information about Bounce too. Not being an American, I don't think I should comment on the In God We Trust item except to say, keep trusting.

Hi Sandie...Wow, I didn't know all those things about Bounce. Great post today. And yes, indeed, "In God We Trust." Susan

Such great Bounce Tips!!! I always learn soooo much here. Thanks for all your Helpful Messages! Thanks for the info on the H2O! I LOVE water! Do you know that expecially in elderly folks it can be the cause of death? YIKES!

So, I could use any brand dryer sheet, then? I don't always buy the Bounce brand, but heck, that's wonderful information. I knew some of it, but I'm glad it takes the love bugs off (they are not so lovely) when that dreaded season comes again. I have been using WD-40 to remove them and that works well too...infact WD-40 is pretty magical stuff in itself...

I think I'll order some stickers from Etsy and put on on my mail that says: "In God We Trust" because I'm tired of all that mess...If people get offended by our Christian God, then just get over it or get out and move somewhere else...whatever happened to Freedom of Religion - it's beginning to sound not so free (for us Christians anyway) but it's ok to stop traffic and shut down work so that Muslims can chant and bow to Allah several times a day...

p.s. yes, I agree with drinking enough water. I never did in Germany - never even paid attention, but then I was young, beautiful and invincible, right?

Now that I'm a big humbled by age and a deteriorating body, I try to do a few more things that are good for me like drinking enough water. I notice that when I don't, I swell up and feel sluggish. Water is a natural water-fighter, meaning that you have to fight water with water and it really does make a difference - at least for me ;-)

I believe in the benefits of water! In God We Trust, what is the harm?

Ginny Hartzler said...

Well, I have heard some of these uses for Bounce, but not the bug repellant, that is cool if it works! As to the Post Office, they are almost bankrupt and having awful problems already, so this will just add to it.

Really good Bounce tips. We have Bounce over here as well! Love that quote about the mind being like a parachute, and that it won't work unless it's open. In God We Trust sounds good to me.

This post is SO FULL of good stuff, Sandie! I didn't know all those uses for Bounce, and I didn't know all that about water. I do notice a huge difference all the way around when I don't drink enough.

And I don't send that much snail mail, but I can write IN GOD WE TRUST when I do.

I've read the Bounce before ..pretty interesting.
Well I am not American...but I'm for In God We Trust...if we don't...we're in pretty bad shape...sooner or later....

EXCELLENT POST!!! :) You are an amazing woman. You always surprise me with your posts. When God is neglected and ignored in a nation that was founded on Godly principles perhaps that is why we are in such a crisis. Water is absolutely essential in this heat.
Wonderful ideas for a bounce sheet,
who would have thought?
Take care dear lady.

You are full of great ideas. I had read that Bounce list --and even printed it out... AND--I use Bounce!!!!

I drink about 6 glasses of water everyday... Didn't always do it though... I now know how important it is.

Yes--let's post "In God we Trust" everywhere we can. I read this week that a shopkeeper in Memphis was told this week to take the American flag down outside of her business. Can you believe it?
Hugs,
Betsy

good podt, I didn't know that bounce could be used for so much. I also know that water is vital another thing is if you feel dizzy a lot of the time it is the lack of water...Debb

Love the idea about "In God We Trust" - it so irritates me that people have a problem with this.

Bounce - OK, that was really interesting. I especially liked that it can be used as a mosquito repellant. We go camping, and those bugs are such a nuisance. I'm definitely going to try this one out.

And, I would write more, but I drank so much water today I have to go to the bathroom...

:)
