Saturday something to think about . . .

Hey gang - I had an unusual problem with my post yesterday - I had comments on my post - but only the first one came over to my email. Have any of you had that issue? Any ideas?

And they are not being emailed to me today either - errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Which way is witch?

Something to think about and rejoice about!

I've learned that you can't give what you've never received. There's no aquifer of love, there's no distillery of faith within me, so I have to receive it. -Max Lucado

I've talked a lot to my blog friends and one thing I think I have learned and I'm shocked - but I'm NOT alone. What I went through years ago - maybe I did actually go though alone - but I was not alone as the only one - and now we are here together - as strong women - no longer victims - courageous - and blessed.

We are able to give to others - which should be impossible - but because we received a gift - a gift from God - not an easy one wrapped in a big package with a pink bow - we had to work to open it for sure - but WE DID IT!

We are survivors.

Not sure what's going on. It doesn't look like you've changed your layout.
Do you mean they're not coming to you in email?

I haven't had that problem with comments, Sandie, that is "weird". I hope it was just an intermittent problem that Blogger was having and today it is better and that problem is worked out. It is amazing how we do find people who have walked similar or same walks with us either from our past or our present that we can form a bond with and empathize with and understand and help each other with things. I admire you all for being the survivors you have been and continue to be!

Such great words of encouragement today Chatty. I feel like there is nothing I can't bear if I know I am not alone and then I know I can bear it and part of someone else's also.

Yes, God made us to need each other and when we lean on each other and Him, we become stronger and can overcome adversity.....

I am sorry you are having blogging issues; they can be so frustrating.....

Hi! Guess I'm not certain what you mean with the email issue ~ do you have your blog set up for comments to go automatically to your email as well as the comment box?

Angela said...

Blogger is just crazy! I got a comment yesterday from someone saying that they have been trying to make comments on my blog and it won't let them and hasn't let them for a long time. Makes me wonder if anyone else is having that problem. I did change my comment format this summer so I changed it back. We'll see if it works or not I guess.

I don't know if I've had the problem that you have had because I don't really look at the comments on my blog on my blog. I just look at the comments on my emails.

Hope it works better today!

Hugs,
Angela

Hi Sandie, good post. And yes, together we're strong. I believe it's important to have friends to lean on during hard times, and also to share/vent things with. Have a great weekend my friend! Hugs x

I think when we found each other and our friendship grew we realized we had both been through so many things and had so much in common. We can share and support each other always. You are my best girlfriend! Big hugs and I miss you. Linda

Yes, Sandie.

There is strength in numbers. I like that analogy of the snowflakes. One snowflake on a branch is almost weightless. Many snowflakes together can break that branch in two!

Have a wonderful Saturday. Sincerely, Susan

I like Clint's comment - Live and help live - wonderful.

You wouldn't be who you are now if it wasn't for these things you went through. Paul said he counted the bad things as blessings. But that IS hard to do!!! I don't get my comments e-mailed because they will miss some and I prefer to read them all on my actual blog rather than mixing them up with my mail.

I haven't had any blog problems like that. Hope yours fixes itself soon! Somehow you and I just "clicked" when we met through our blogs and then when we got to meet in person, we were already great friends! I don't remember us talking about any bad times in our past, but yeah...I've been there, too. I'm so happy where I am in my world now....and I don't mean a literal location! Hugs to you, Sandie!

Hope the glitches get worked out soon. I am still having many of the comments I make deleted when I try to post them. . . Don't know what you are specifically referring to in your personql life, but you sound happy and that makes me Happy!

I didn't read all the comments so someone may have already mentioned this, but when it happened to me I found them in my e-mail spam folder. Even folks I've talked to often... so check there. Hope that helps:@)

I was having problems with this a few weeks ago, with comments I had to moderate...they went to my spam folder instead of my inbox. I was not impressed so now I make a point in checking my spam at least once a day.

I have a friend who emailed me with the same problem. We are stronger when we pull together. I appreciate so much the prayers and support of my blogging friends.

My laptop (Lappy Lou) breathed the last yesterday and today I'm using the desktop which seems to be eating all of my comments. I'm going shopping tomorrow.

not having any problems that I've noticed. Hope you get it figured out.

That is what our Pastor talked about today, or at least partially. The poem, Footprints in the Sand sort of sums it up... When there are only one set of footprints and we feel the loneliest, THAT is when Jesus is carrying us because He promises to never leave or forsake us!

None of us get out of life unscarred, do we?

Sometimes I feel like those beautiful gray whales that swim off the coast here in California. Their skins are covered with so many scars - but they are just beautiful reminders of the battles that they have fought in the deep waters - and yet, they continue to swim in all their beauty.

My scars are healed by the Scarred One - His wounds have covered mine.

GOD BLESS!
