"Life is lived forward, but understood backward. It is not until we are down the road and we stand on the mountain looking back through the valley that we can appreciate the terrain God has allowed us to scale.” Jill Savage

I thought this was really important.

There is a young gal out there in blog land. I think a lot of you know her.

This is Leontin's Story:

http://www.progressivedairy.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=7602:chasing-a-dream-one-womans-fight-for-a-dairy-farm-life&catid=73:women-in-dairy&Itemid=116

I have been praying for her constantly. Yes it is a sad story - sort of - but I write about her because I love women of courage and she is indeed one of them and she needs our prayers.

She has been through so much and she hasn't given up. I admire that kind of courage.
Please visit her blog - click her name above - tell her hello and that you are praying for her.

There are a lot of strong wonderful people out there and I think they should be recognized.

Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear.

- Ambrose Redmoon

I think she really values life. Do you kind of get the depth of that? She is fighting with all she has to live her life. She wants to be here. I know so many times I take life for granted. I don't appreciate it like I should. This is a gift to me to set my head straighter.

I'm lucky and blessed to be here - for no problem that I have - is worse than this.

God bless her and of course to others with cancer and other illnesses too!

Leontien is in my thoughts often also. She is really an amazing woman.
I just found out yesterday that a good friend of mine has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer and lung cancer. She is a fighter also and is facing it all with a great deal of courage. There is so much each day that reminds us not to take life for granted.
