I'm back with some animal tales!

I'm back from Ohio and from visiting with my son and his family. I got to see my one year old grandson - who by the way is adorable. We brought my daughter, grandson, and dog with us from Atlanta. So my whole immediate family was together for Thanksgiving. We don't get together like this too often - so it was really wonderful.

My daughter in law is an excellent cook - almost if not gourmet. So the meal was wonderful and even my picky eater grandson ate like a little piggy.

It just so happened that it was the baby's first birthday - so we celebrated that. And he was dedicated in the church. Three birds with one stone.

My DIL's parents came with their dog on Friday. My son and his wife have a feral cat. So we were a rowdy bunch.

Drove home on Sunday in 8 hours of rain!

I'm happy to be home safe and sound. Pictures will follow this week.

Now this video is about dogs giving thanks before they eat - how fitting is that this Thanksgiving Holiday?

No idea who caught this shot, but one thing for sure they were at the right place at the right time.

Reminds me of Psalm 91:4, "He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection."

The photographer caught this special moment, what a privilege to see.

Life without God is like an unsharpened pencil...It has no point!

So did the feral cat pray for his meal also? Was he found by missionaries?

Hi Sandie Sweetie...
So happy to hear that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving surrounded by family and love. It never seems to be long enough though does it?

Love the little praying dog. That is so darn precious. Isn't it something how smart they truly are, and how quickly they learn such wonderful little tricks. A beautiful treasure for sure.

Have a great week sweet friend. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

Welcome home!

That video was wonderful. Sweetest thing I've ever seen.

You found the perfect photo to go along with that bible verse.

A certified animal lovers I guess, and than you for this video, though the connection is slow but I enjoyed my friend... and one thing, I am happy to know that you were there with your grandson first birthday and with the thanksgiving of course, it was such a good timing! That bird is really wonderful! Now I have to see that you got a very nice quote with my second visit here... 'life without God is like an unsharpened pencil... it has no point.' Amen to this my friend, our life will be pointless without Him! Life has no essence at all if we wont accept that He is Our God, and He is the answer for Everything. God bless you and happy blogging!

That photo is FANTASTIC, and I loved the video. My favorite was the one where he asks for the grace not to chase the neighbor's cat. So cute!

And, your Monday post NEVER came up on my homepage. I was surprised to see it when I came here today so I went back and checked again.

Nope. Just Sunday and then today. How odd is that???

It sounds like a wonderful family time to me...So glad you were able to get so much in with the visit.....

Love this last picture of the birds...Has to be a Mama, doesn't it? or least that's how I feel about my babies....

Thank you so much for your encouraging comments you left for me this morning....Aging as all kinds of issues, uh?

Have a great day....

What a hilarious video! And that bird... so beautiful... I wonder what sort it is. It looks like a pigeon but the colours are not any pigeon colours that I know.

The extreme skepticism in me (that I inherited from my mother) says that bird picture has to be Photoshopped.

the video made me smile. I love the picture of the mama bird sheltering her babies. My mom sent that one to me. It's amazing how a picture like that can bring scripture to life.
