Tuesday Tails

Good Tuesday Morning - what's up for you to do today? Me - my last full day before my grandson gets out of school for the summer. Wednesday and Thursday are half days. Then Friday summer time here! My daughter works Friday - Tuesday - Wednesday and then she is home for the summer too. So life is always changing here - as in life nothing ever stays the same...

But it is all good - right?

A REAL HERO - A banker saves 12 baby ducks.

I just put this here because I could - my daughter sent it to me and I think it is so cute. Now I know someone probably photo shopped this - but I still think it is cute.  I have seriously thought about getting a pig for a pet.  Wonder how the allergies are to pigs?

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Well it's true isn't it?

I love your new header....these days I often find that my kids are being a good example for me.
I remember being a little panicky sometimes when it was time for my kids to get out of school, but, of course, it always turned out okay. I hope your summer will be a great one.

your whole post is a big hit with me today. I love that pig. my friend that has the minature donkey, just got a pig that will only be 20 pounds when grown, it is 6 weeks old and the photo of it is adorable. the video made me tear up with joy. i loved it and passed it on to 6 of my non blogging friends to check out your post today.

hah, love the face of the squished dog :) and well, can't imagine having a pig for a pet-not much 'cuddle-ability' in a pig, is there? But I guess it's all in what you are use to!?
...now that didn't sound right, did it?

I always enjoy your stories and today especially! I had to send the duck story to all my friends. Strange place for baby ducks huh! Hope your husband is well very soon!

I think it is great your schools end before Memorial Day. Here we still have a few weeks to go. The kids hate being in school when the weather gets nice and it's too hot as most of ours do not have air conditioning. I no longer have any at home going to school, but some of my family are teachers and many of my grands are students. Hope your Tuesday is a terrific one!

I loved the duckman video! So special. We had relatives who adopted a pot belly pig. It grew to be hog sized because they fed it too much, but he was very clean, smart and I never heard them say anything about allergies. Oh, and he had his own twin sized bed that he would climb up on every night and would pull his covers up himself - yes, these people were a little nutty! Ann

The pig is cute! I hope you post graduation pictures!!! Allergies to pigs...I bet there are not many at all, because look at how we use pig valves in hearts.

Our homeschool is finishing this week also! Yeah! We are pretty relaxed with minor details to wrap up! I can't wait for all the summer fun! We actually live in northeast corner of Ohio, south of Cleveland and north of Youngstown. Many blessings...still believing God's complete healing for your husband.

If you are like me then you are so busy with different things with school since school is almost out. Last night a band concert. Tonight a pool party if it doesn't get cancelled due to the rain we are having! Another concert tomorrow and Field Day the day after. My kids last day was supposed to be Friday but they have to make up a snow day so it got pushed back to next Tuesday. They want me to pick them up around noon! lol

I would go and hug my dogs but they met up with Peppi La Pu last night and they don't smell very good! lol

I love the dog and kitty signs. :-) And it's so true. It's so therapeutic to snuggle up beside the dog or cat. Too bad more nursing homes don't make a special effort to get dogs and cats in there for the residents. When my dad was in the nursing home, there was a woman who brought her little Fox Terrier to work with her. The residents loved it!

I have three dogs beside me right now and if I go upstairs, there are 2 cats waiting for me. :-)

Good advice, Sandie, 'Hug Your Dog' today. No, I don't think pigs have very many allergies.

There isn't any blue line up and down on my blog when I see it. Not on my nor Mrs. Jim's computer.

I've always found it weird how different states have different school calenders. Our school year went from just after Labor Day to mid June...depending on if we had days to make up because of snow. In NY, students don't get out until the very end of June-most likely due to missed days because of the weather. They go back in September as well. I couldn't image going back to school in August when the heat is at it's worst.

it's hard to believe we are at the end of another school year.
That pig is adorable. I knew a lady years ago who had a pet pig.
I love that last picture

That's a great video, Sandie! The other day I heard the radio "traffic" guy saying 2 DPS squad cars were blocking a portion of a major freeway, to allow for a mother duck and her babies to get across safely. Isn't that the sweetest? There are angels everywhere!

that pig is just too cute for words, but having one as a pet...i am not so sure about that. they get big and ugly and they roll around in the mud ;))) i would be allergic to that!!

we had a pot bellied pig for a pet about 20 years ago. i'm not sure about allergies but our pig "piggers" rooted our lawn, which we knew he would but then he started biting. after 2 bites we found him another home! but he was cute. when we got him he fit in the palm of our hand. he grew much bigger than i think he should have.

Lovely post Sandi,
There are some good people out there. How great to save baby ducks..I like him.!
I think its a great idea to have a pet pig. A lady accross the other side of my village has one.. it walks in and out the house and stays around them like a dog.. you can get little miniature ones.. no alergies I am sure, they are very intelligent.
We are still in spring here in Europe. Our children only go on holiday at the end of next month for summer.
Wish you lots of happy days with your grandchildren.
They sure keep us busy.
Thanks for your comments on my blog Sandi
Happy wedensday..

Where did the school year go? First prom, graduation and now horribly slow computer due to increased traffic:)) All signs of approaching summer.
Enjoy your increased time with the grands. What a great time to be a kid.
I remember that duckling story but it was worth another look.

Aw, Duckman is my new hero!
Once when I lived in Portland I was driving on a very busy street. Suddenly I saw a duck start across the street. Fortunately a Portland police officer was coming the other direction. He stopped traffic one way and me the other. The duck waddled across happily and everyone went their own way with a smile.

I love the photo of the little pig!
