Tuesdays Tails

“No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another.”
Charles Dickens

I must tell you that I really got my start from Corgis. I have been blogging for almost 7 years. The first couple of years I was a loner writing for myself. I didn't even know about followers. True. Then one day I got a follower. She had a Corgi. Then before I knew it I had five or six corgi friends. Then maybe ten. That is how my blog started. Now at the time Pugs were my favorite dogs. Corgi's second. I have come to put them on equal footing now. However they are still number two - because now our little mutt Disco is the love of our lives.

Now Monica is a long time Corgi friend and she doesn't blog too much anymore, but she sent me this.

It is 40 of THE CUTEST CORGI'S you will ever see. This is my personal favorite. They have all sorts of corgi's doing all sorts of cute things. And while you might think it is a waste of time - for me - laughing and enjoying pictures for a few minutes makes me stop and enjoy the moment. Do you have a favorite?

THANK YOU MONICA.

THOUGHT OF THE DAY ~

Okay, it isn't always true for me - but I am working at that being true for me more then not.

I agree with the getting older and happier philosophy.

I ain't, however, a Corgi kind o' guy. I like my dogs on the larger side with a little meat on their bones. I like to be able to get my arms around 'em and hug 'em good and proper.

That is so true, I'm only 28, but I can't wait til I'm older - yes I'm looking forward to getting older lol :P

I am an English Bull Dog kind of person with Pug sharing my favorite spot.

Pugs are such devoted pets, it is hard to not love them the very best of all. But English Bull dogs have a mind of their own and you can't help but admire their tenacity. They both have fabulous personalities.

Our dog Dodger's favorite is a Corgi...a pretty little girl who lives behind us, but lately he has also had his eye on a very pretty Labradoodle.

I love all dogs but my favorite is the dalmatian. Not too big, great with families, intelligent, few health problems, needs no special grooming to be strikingly beautiful. As long as you are careful of the breeder, they are great dogs. We've had three starting 25 years ago. Oliver is our five-year old.

Best,
Bonnie

Good Morning Sweetie...
That is just the cutest darn pic ever. I love little pugs. (My daughter Heidi has one named Ceasar and he is quite a character.) It is so much fun to see him interact with Bruiser our Boston Terrier. Love my critters.

That photo of the Corgi licking the p-butter jar just way cute, way cute. I can see that happening.

Love the thought for the day as well. When I lost most of my speaking voice, I learned not to care what others thought anymore. I am just happy to be me now. 55 and happy to be me.

Thanks for sharing sweetie. You always brighten my day. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

Its sad but true that we don't really get with the program until we are older:) Not sure why that is and don't think that this is as true with men.

I did the same thing with blogging - I blogged for the longest time - almost two years - with no readers. I always say thanks to my friend Jannie, who found my blog by clicking "next" on the blogger home page.

My nephew got a Corgi, who he named Tucker, but now Tucker lives with his grandparents, who adore him. They live in the Shenandoah Valley. My sister gets to walk him multiple times a day and her granddaughter (my great niece Mina, who I blog about a times) LOVES him. And he loves her. The two of them run around and around the house when she first walks in the door for a visit.

There are good things about getting old! Well, I'm a pug person but I could be convinced about corgis. They sure are cute!

I'm more of a cat person but there is room for all of us in this old world. Nice to know how you got your start here. I started in AOL journals in october 2003 then transfered to blogger. So many have come and gone over the years but I'm still in contact with a few from those years. I think its a wonderful hobby.

Loved all the Corgi pictures. The one with the Corgi reading in bed with the glasses on made me laugh.
I like the quote too and I'm finally to a point where I really don't care what other people think of me any more. It's really a wonderful feeling :)

Debbie said...

So cute! My two favorites are the one with the stuffed animal and the one with the turtle float in the pool.

And I liked the reading in bed one, too, I almost forgot that.

As for your question about May Day, I think it's originally a celtic holiday. All I know is that that always celebrated it when I was little by making these little cones with the little girl down the street and hanging them on doorknobs. When I had little girls, they did the same with our neighbors. I tried to find a picture of them to scan for that post, but I couldn't find one. They must have been running too fast. LOL

We save the peanut butter jars for our pups. When we have three saved we let them clean them out. Amazing how clean they get the jars. LOL
I Love all the pics! My favorites are the mailbox, all the seasons and the two pics with the labs. I've always liked Corgi's. I just may have one some day. :)
Like your quote and I'm getting to be a lot like that. :)
Thanks for the smiles Sandie. You're wonderful!
Love, Marie

You know I LOVE corgi's! They are the funniest dogs. Jazz keeps me entertained. When I need a good laugh all I have to do is see what Jazz is doing and it makes me smile when she smiles at me!

Congratulations on 7 years of blogging!

I never realized how popular corgi's were until the last year or so...the girly is fascinated with them and when we drive to TKD there are 4 or 5 houses that have them. She loves it when they are out. Cute dogs!

It's most definitely the long-tongued peanut butter snitcher I like best. Sweet.

Your posts are always a treasure. I'm glad we 'found' each other through the years.

Sorry I'm so late in getting over to visit with you since you left your comment in my blog ...I've been feeling poorly with a bout of the flu. Hope your week has been treating you well, and I wanted to thank you for stopping by.

I love all dogs -- can't ever pick a favorite. Each one offers something special for its owner. :)

I'm so much more laid back about things since I quit working a few years ago. Worrying about what other's think kinda goes with the job thingy. :)
