Fun Friday with a little help from my friends.

I TRULY DID NOT KNOW THIS!

Las Vegas Churches accepting gambling chips?

THIS MAY COME AS A SURPRISE TO THOSE OF YOU NOT LIVING IN LAS VEGAS , BUT THERE ARE MORE CATHOLIC CHURCHES THAN CASINOS.

NOT SURPRISINGLY, SOME WORSHIPERS AT SUNDAY SERVICES WILL GIVE CASINO CHIPS RATHER THAN CASH WHEN THE BASKET IS PASSED.

SINCE THEY GET CHIPS FROM MANY DIFFERENT CASINOS, THE CHURCHES HAVE DEVISED A METHOD TO COLLECT THE OFFERINGS.

THE CHURCHES SEND ALL THEIR COLLECTED CHIPS TO A NEARBY FRANCISCAN MONASTERY FOR SORTING AND THEN THE CHIPS ARE TAKEN TO THE CASINOS OF ORIGIN AND CASHED IN.

THIS IS DONE BY THE CHIP MONKS.

YOU DIDN'T EVEN SEE IT COMING DID YOU? Photobucket --

GOTCHA!

 Thank you Ann and Jerry.

Cell Phones, Annoying or not!

Have you ever felt like strangling one of those 'loud mouthed' cell phone users who seem to sit near you in a restaurant or any other place and forcibly share their private call with you?

Here's one solution, provided by a commuter to combat this display of bad manners.

After a very busy day, a commuter settled down in her seat and closed her eyes as the train departed.

As the train rolled out of the station, the guy sitting next to her pulled out his cell phone and started talking in a loud voice:..

"Hi sweetheart it's Eric, I'm on the train - yes, I know it's the six thirty and not the four thirty,... but I had a long meeting...

No, honey, not with that floozie from the accounts office or with the boss...     No sweetheart, you're the only one in my life - yes, I'm sure, cross my heart" etc., etc.
Fifteen minutes later he was still talking loudly, when the young woman sitting next to him, who was obviously angered by his continuous diatribe, yelled at the top of her voice:..

"Hey, Eric, turn that stupid phone off and come back to bed!"
I guess that Eric doesn't use his cell phone in public any longer.

The Nude Men Clock
How clever.
Somebody has way too much time on his hands!
Be sure to click on the clock to make it digital.
It's actually the correct time - even counting the seconds !!!
What kind of computer engineer mind thinks of these things ? Yipes !!
THE NUDE MEN CLOCK - A MUST SEE FOR YOURSELF
And it is NOT X-rated.
This is a masterpiece!!! This is extremely clever and it does actually work,
in BOTH formats!!!! Digital and Analog. And it's actually on YOUR correct time.
This human clock is fantastic.
Click anywhere
in the clock and it becomes digital, another click and it

Love that cellphone story! :) I'm on my cellphone a lot, but not in a situation like that where people have to listen to your conversation. I got called for jury selection in DeKalb County last year and sitting next to a man, who used his time to call everyone he knew to complain about his wife and report in minute detail every word of the discussion they had had the night before. I could have repeated it verbatim at one point. Finally he called someone who didn't want to hear about it. :) Then he started chatting me up - I am usually sweet to everyone, but I just shut him down, too.

Well, Kathy, ya did it again, providing a line of grins and giggles. Thanks so much. I especially loved the cell phone call. LOL...as for the Harvester, if only a person had 150 grand lying around...it sure beats the old fashioned chainsaw and much cleaner.
Chip-monk...funny stuff.
BlessYourHeart as you dream up more fun for the weekend

The leader of those monks is the Deep Fat Friar. And, frankly, I would;t be surprised if she churches accepted casino chips. It's all a mater of learning to be thankful for any and all gifts received.

And, in the name of increased profits and higher unemployment, you can replace real live Human beings with machines.

Blessings and Bear hugs from someone (or some Bear) who is definitely not normal. Or who has re-defined normal. (Yeah; that's better!)

Chatty Crone, I'm still reeling from your post about the 4 legged women. I can't help myself from thinking about (in her time, especially) how very sad and difficult her life must have been. can't get over that.
hugs!!) (I hope your hubby is progressing and getting well, CC.)

How about the people that talk on their cells in the public bathrooms??? I don't know whether to laugh or scream - it's hard to pee when someone is on the phone in the next stall.

The nudemen clock is too funny!

We are all healthy (for the moment) here! Ann

You almost got me on the chip monks.....you naughty girl.

Good news on your husband. I hope he continues in good health.

I've noticed when people talk on their cell phones in public, they always talk loud. I love the ladies comment to the offender.

Happy weekend!

Sally said...

The cell phone is a good one. I also have many times thought someone was talking to me when actually they had the phone "bud"; then they look at me like I'm the crazy one.

Hope you enjoy the weekend!

Hi Sandie ~~ I like your new Soul Flowers header picture. I had trouble reading all of them. When I find my magnifying glass I will try again.

I had heard that the churches were doing this. Do you know that THOSE CHIP MONKS were siphoning some off for themselves? They had to stop letting them count because they became addicted to gambling.

Finally, I'd like to have one of those tree machines in our back yard. It looks like it would be a neat toy.

Even though that machine put a bunch of guys out of work, it really is amazing.
Totally got me on the chip monks.
I once heard a self important man speaking loudly in his cell at the super market telling the person he was in his car right now and on his way.
I couldn't resist and walked up to him and said loudly,"Excuse me, can you tell me where the asparagus is?" Wish I had thought about something more racy.
The clock page wouldn't load for me.

Debbie said...

You got me on the chipmunks! That was too cute.

And I admit it. I clicked to the nude men clock. I just have one question: Why oh why oh why did they have to sit down Indian style?

Some things are just wrong...

I am with you on the cell phone maddness. I have an iphone and I would not think of doing what i see others do in banks, stores, restaurants, bus stops. They think we are interested in their call I guess. I think it is very rude. I want to tell them how I feel, but I fear what would happen next.

You got me with the Chip Monks, I didn't see it coming at all.

That logging machine is fascinating, I had no idea such a thing existed. But it also makes me sad to see all those trees being taken down like that.

That clock is funny.
