Sunday - how about a wedding???

"You cannot teach love, but you can feel the sweetness that it pours into everything." ~ Anne Sullivan

Remember my niece got married a couple of weeks ago - what better thing to think about on God's day, then a wedding.

Do you remember yours and how you felt?  Any funny thing that happened?  At my son's wedding my grandson helped himself to the cake - ahead of time.  Just checking it out to make sure that is was okay.

And at my daughters wedding she had the most gorgeous cake that matched the design of her dress lace on it.  When they cut the cake and tasted it - it tasted like the strongest rum cake you had ever tasted.  It was terrible - now here is the funny thing - first of all we did not order that - but the wedding was held at the church and the minister had about five pieces! He loved it.  lol

These are the male characters in the wedding.  They look quite serious!

Grandson and his lovely mother.

My grandson and my great niece - they are so cute and that is her mother - my niece in the middle.

The bride my great niece and her uncle my nephew.

It was a gorgeous venue.

The girls.

The bride and groom putting their sand crystals together as one.

Their first dance together.

Her shoes on her second dress.

Holding hands and promising in front of God.

Complete with a lot of fun and dancing.

Well I do hope and pray they stay in love forever!  That is my wish.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

absolutely gorgeous pictures, all of them, Sandie! What a sweet young couple; I am with you; I hope their love lasts forever!! Beautiful color of the dresses too! GS looks great in his tux; love the picture of your daughter and him together!!

Too funny about the rum cake at your daughter's wedding and the pastor enjoying it so!

Only thing that happened off on our wedding was the church was supposed to be unlocked by the time I got there at 1 o'clock (2 o'clock weddding) and it wasn't. I had to go down to a pay phone to call hubby to call the church people to come and unlock it (those were the days before cell phones :)

and also, I forgot a runner so no runner for walking down the aisle. Didn't miss it though :)

enjoy the day!

Lovely! I'll have to show my daughter, as that turquoise is the same colour she used for her bridesmaids, the groomsmen's vests and ties and her wedding shoes!

What a beautiful post. The photos are lovely. There is something about weddings that always lift my spirit, in the same way seeing a newborn babe does. Guess it is something about new beginnings and all that they offer. Have an awesome day.

Lovely wedding. Love the color of the men's ties and the bride's maid dresses. A funny (although NOT at the time) wedding cake story from my own wedding is that the bakery baked the cake, then forgot to deliver it as promised. They closed up and left my cake sitting there in the dark bakery --talk about paniced phone calls -- it finally arrived at the last minute! It was delicious. The quote about "baggage" is so true. Enjoy your Sunday.

Beautiful pictures. We were married by a Justice of the Peace in South Carolina. When he asked if I agreed with the vows, instead of the "I Do" My answer was "Yes Sir" (being a Marine) When sherry was asked, she too followed my lead and answered, "Yes Sir!".

I like to think folks plan their life even more than their wedding.
Love from Amish country.

Congrats to the happy couple. It looks like a wonderful wedding. I do remember how I felt on my wedding day. I was much in love with my hubby and it stayed that way until he died. He still holds a very special place in my heart. Those we love deeply never really truly leave us behind.

You niece had a wonderful wedding at a beautiful place. The girls were all so pretty dressed up so nicely.

Our Wedding? It was a long story but I was an hour late for it.

Love your thought for the day. I would rate the success of that for various couples but not very many reach 100% unpacked.

Beautiful colors, happy smiles and a Princess indeed the bride and her Prince charming.

Your grandson and mom look very nice. Looks like all had a wonderful time.

Lovely color choice...her dress is precious. So much planning and detail went into the wedding...I think it is cool they matched the cake to the lace on her dress.:) That is a hoot about the rum cake. My wedding day is a long story...but a big hint is Frank and his family were an hour and a half late. LOL
