Monday, Monday . . . so good to me and you!

Why is this going to be a good day for you?  Because I was approached by Geetha who wanted to give me a chance to offer you a $50 gift card to Shabby Apple!  A vintage collection store.

This was my favorite dress.

The Academy Awards skirt speaks volumes—six layers of flouncy tulle cut just below the knees kind of volume to be exact. Our take on the holiday midi sits at your natural waist and drops into a full circle skirt that is fully lined. Pair it with our Oscars shirt or your favorite silky top for a look that will have you clutching all the style awards this season and thanking all the little people...

You can chose anything you like.  Now if you go to that site and you find something you like and don't win - they'll give you 10% off any product using this coupon code: chattycrone10off and this coupon will be valid for one month.

SHABBY APPLE sure has a lot of unique and cute clothes.  I truly enjoyed looking at all of them!  Very eclectic which I love.

What you need to do to win - let's make it short and sweet!  (You do have to have an address in the USA.)

Easy right?  That's it.  You can leave up to three comments/chances.

1.  1st. Chance - Like them on facebook - you have to do this. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Shabby-Apple/56291792791

2.  2nd. Chance- Leave a comment on here telling me which outfit you like best.  You have to do this.

3.  3rd. Chance- If you're a follower and you do not have to be a follower - leave a comment you're a follower and you get an extra chance to win. This is optional.

Contest ends October 2nd at 8pm - I'll have my grandson pick a name from a hat and then I'll let you know on Wednesday's blog who won.

Okay men - you can enter to win your wife an outfit!
Here's a cute one that was shown in Southern Living.
Isn't this kind of cute?

They have a variety of fun clothes and unique designs.
Now here is a little thought for the day.

A little Irish Blessing for you.

“May you always be blessed with walls for the wind. A roof for the rain. A warm cup of tea by the fire. Laughter to cheer you. Those you love near you. And all that your heart might desire."  An old Irish Proverb

Remember the Mammas and the Pappas???

Bear isn't much into dresses. Especially ones that are shabby. Besides, I don't think one could obtain that apparel in Canada. Just as well. Shabby isn't chic.

Oh shucks, you put the Mamas and Pappas on. I played it for Sherry and just after there was 'Dream a little dream of Me' by Mama Cass. Sherry loved that smooth voice. I wish I could hear it good.

She remembers most every thing. She said you were away, far away in the Mediterranean when she sang that.
Yep her memory is good.
Good read thanks....

WELL HELLO THERE!

First of all, I am coming after seeing that you visited me. You are a friend of Renae? She is super. I just adore her, her wit, her writing potential, OH.....EVERYTHING about her.

I LOVE SHABBY APPLE and this singing group from my childhood!

You comment on my post was wonderful. YES, I am trying to put out a message. And ask Renae who is getting to know me; I love poetry. I would rather create a softer way to say something and provide my readers a change to see something from a different perspective.

I am a French teacher. I resigned last year and this year I am looking to substitute at least three days a week to pursue ART and writing. And I have always known it is hard, but not until you are IN IT and experience the difficulties do you really know. I am not a quitter, but for family reasons, I am wondering if I should just readjust my focus and forget about pursuing the dream to write and do artistry, return back to full-time teaching and just do the other stuff as a hobby, whenever. But something is calling me to do this...but it is a painful process and I have to weigh out the risks.

I am glad you enjoyed the photos and my attempt to wax poetical! DO COME BACK NEXT WEEK!!! Many thanks, Anita

I will check out that site. I have a feeling though that the dress would not look as good on my lumpy, bumpy body as it does on the model.

OK, I'll admit something: I set up a Words on Wheels facebook a while back since I don't have one of my own, and I am STILL to stupid to figure it out. I don't know how to "like" things. (Stop that snickering missy....) I can't enter, but I can say that the clothes looked right up my Whimsy's alley.

Being part Irish, I must say I love the blessing. Thanks for sharing it and The Mamas and the Papas, definitely from my era.

That is a cute, cute dress, but I don't do Facebook and all that jazz. LOL! I can barely do blogger from the looks of it, and this IPAD can only be had in the wee hours 'cause it goes to work. ;-)

Don't know what to do about the issues. I have an email address that someone sent some confounded virus to in an effort to hijack my blog. They sent it supposedly from a blog email. Yeah. Right. I fell for it. So I had to walk away before they hacked me. Or so I thought. What do I know about all this mess??? Not much!

I miss chatting with my favorite Chatty Crone. This Crone wants to email you, so if you get one from Sheila you know it's me, okay? I want to email you from my business address.

XO,

She

By business I mean where I commune with the word not play on my blog. That one. :-) I'd rather play on my blog, though. Miss you! Thanks for the suggestions and he moral support on my blogger issues.

Oh my. I actually met that group way back. Two gals and myself went to see them in Concert for two hours. My one friend had a ticket each for us. Her husbands best friend was a news guy so he got the tickets for us. They came to City TV. I was so surprised to see Momma move. Her in her boots. So sad she died.

They all had some voices and could Momma move. Thanks for sharing.

I am late getting in today.
