Hold the alt key down.
Then type in the numbers.

Hope you can read that is as large as I can get it.

Someones told me about this contest to win a dream home - I entered it - I could use a dream home - lol.

Don't use it if your car is older than 2012 - Thank you Sharon.

Now the disability clause - I don't know if they are 100% true - I try to check them - you feel free to check them as well.  Please do.

Some Humor from Jackie at Teacher's Pet

Southern Home Security System

1.  Go to Goodwill and buy a pair of size 14-16 men’s work boots.
2.  Place them on your front porch along with a copy of Guns and Ammo magazine.
3.  Put 4 large dog dishes next to the boots and magazine.
4.  Leave a note on your front door that reads as follows:

Bubba,
Me and Marcel, Donnie Ray and Jimmy Earl went for more ammo and beer.  Be back in a hour. Don’t mess with the pit bulls. They got the mailman this morning and messed him up bad. I don’t think Killer took part…but it was hard to tell from all the blood.
Anway, I locked all four of ‘em in the house. Better wait outside.
Be right back,
Cooter

P.S. You may have to "speak" Southern to understand.

a safety seminar i attended once encouraged folks to put out a big chain on a tree w/ a dog dish next to it. they asked for a good name to paint on the dog dish to deter people. i suggested 'satan'.

I love Fred Rogers too. I hadn't heard that story about him and isn't it true. There are many willing helpers out there. I have heard that tale about the dog dish. I think I'll be looking for one. Lots of people are scared of dogs. Hope your Saturday is a super one!

Once again, you made my morning. I think I have to get in the Southern Security mood...I'm doing this. Just when we think we live all safe and sound, something dreadful happens.
Thanks for adding humor to reality.
The blog is looking pretty cool. I hate when things go haywire, even for a day.

I'm still laughing out loud and read to Danny- the Southern Security System and letter!! I'm sending this to my girls in downtown atlanta!! Just the pair of boots and gun magazine sitting on the front porch would help?
Also--- THANK YOU for the Alt + ###s list!! I didn't know that you can type a cent sign or a temperature symbol sign.Thank you!!

Suzan said...

OK- I couldn't make the Alt + ###s work, but figured out that you have to use the number pad on the right with the number pad lock on. (I never use the number pad, so Danny looked it up for me)
Thanks again!!

Uhhh, that might work until they heard my little dog barking. Love the queen pics. She has a very sweet face and lovely smile. And Mr. Rogers is right.
Your blog is looking great!
Hope you are enjoying a lovely Saturday.

Love the ammo and boots story. That sounds a bit Texan to me. Just like what I posted the other day on my blog...Thursday. You should check it out. Scroll down a bit on the post and find just by checking the red dots on how many own a gun in Texas.

I am glad your blog is working properly now.

The last joke was really funny!

I love the Mr. Rogers thing best of all, ALL us moms and grandmothers need to remember it!!! The first thing is very cool...Phil has always loved keyboard commands, where I am a total mouse person. But I have found there are things that break and then you can only fix them with the keyboard commands, like when your mouse is frozen.

I also loved Mr Rogers!

I enjoyed the whole entry, but thanks for the special characters. I only knew a couple. Sometimes you need these and don't know how to make them.
Anyway thanks, good stuff. The blog looks good on this end...

Lots of good things here today Sandie. I used to know how to put a moving message across my e-mail. For the life of me I can't remember where I put the note about it.

Your blog looks great, but it always does..... most of all I enjoy the information and laughter that I always come away with....

I love Mr Rogers!!! Our son would sit with his thumb in his mouth watching him each afternoon and at the end of the show he would always say, "I love Mr Rogers"......

I love all of those fun shortcuts and the funnies are really funny today. I'm a Southerner...through and through so I can understand the fun, too! We used to drive up to a hiking trail in NC and pass a house that had a sign on the front door, 'Please don't kill the snakes, they eat the rats.' Would you want to break into THAT house? heehee!
