Coconut Oil Give Away -

I am going to be able to give away a 32 ounce jar of Coconut Oil to one lucky friend.  I was sent a jar of this Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil.  I will be honest - I do not like coconut - at least the coconut that is in flakes that you use on top of cakes or in candy.  YUCK - it gets in my teeth and never ever comes out. I was  wary.

Anyway I got it and started to use it to fry different things in - the items I would want to fry anyway, but in oil that wasn't so good for you.

My chicken came out so delicious and so beautiful even my grandson ate it - if any one of you know me they will know what a miracle that was.  It was great.  It has so many used - you can bake - fry - make salad dressing - and dips with it.
Now to enter my giveaway - and this is mandatory - you must subscribe to their email sales newsletter. (click here) I have done this myself.  There are some great deals on it and lots of information on how to use the product .   That's all you have to do.  Then leave me a comment that you subscribed to their email sales newsletter.

The contest will end on 4/17/13 and the winner will be announced on Thursday the 18th.

This is what it looks like . . .

Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil - 32 oz.

Win 1 quart of Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil!

Tropical Traditions is America’s source for coconut oil. Their Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil is hand crafted in small batches by family producers, and it is the highest quality coconut oil they offer. You can read more about how virgin coconut oil is different from other coconut oils on their website: What is Virgin Coconut Oil

Tropical Traditions also carries other varieties of affordable high quality coconut oil. Visit their website to check on current sales, to learn about the many uses of coconut oil, and to read about all the advantages of buying coconut oil online. Since the FDA does not want us to discuss the health benefits of coconut oil on a page where it is being sold or given away, here is the best website to read about the health benefits of coconut oil.

I hope you read all about it - it is an extremely interesting product!

Disclaimer: Tropical Traditions provided me with a free sample of this product to review, and I was under no obligation to review it if I so chose.  Nor was I under any obligation to write a positive review or sponsor a product giveaway in return for the free  product.

I found even the Mennonites Girls Can Cook use it and make food from it - check it out here:

It is true, everyone else is taken we might as well be ourselves.

I don't care to eat much of it myself. I've got a bottle of the oil, though, and use it when I think about it. It has a lot of health benefits, supposedly. I won't enter since I already have a big bottle of it. Thanks anyway!

I use grapeseed oil myself. Coconut sounds interesting. I see you found my Scooter Lady Rides Again quote about being yourself. I snapped that picture on a bad day and suddenly felt energized. It's a good one to share.

Sandie, after reading a previous post of yours on coconut oil, i went to the Indian grocery store in the Marshall's shopping center on Barrett Pkwy. I bout a blue plastic bottle of the oil and went I went to use it, it would not come out of the spout. My Indian friend says that it is solid and I will have to warm the bottle in water before it will come out. :(((

I signed up!

Hugs,

Well, I don't know that much about the oil, but my, there has been such a controversy over the coconut water! There is coconut stuff everywhere now, milk, yogurt, ice-cream, it is all the rage. Years ago they said it was bad, now they say it is good! Thanks for the chance to win!!!

I've been buying coconut oil from Tropical Traditions for a while now.....and although I don't fry with it....I don't fry at all.....it has many, many uses! I use it on my skin when it's really dry and even on my dogs when they are particularly dry! I have friends that use it in every thing they eat.....it's great stuff!

What a nice give away. But unfortunately I cannot participate, me being allergic to all types of nuts just makes me careful. Since coconut triggered my allergy many years ago.
Hope you're having a good Thursday, my day is nearly ending going on 9pm.
Hugs,

Eva

I've just recently become addicted to coconut oil...but for my hair and skin more than cooking with it. Take 1/4 teaspoon and rub it into your hands. It feels oily for a minute or two, but just wait...it completely soaks in and your hands feel amazing! I put it on the last inch of my long hair as a conditioner in the shower. It's amazing stuff!

My dh buys coconut oil by the gallon buckets- he is a devout believer in it's health benefits. He uses it mostly in his coffee, but I use it to fry with. (I also use it as hand & face lotion...it's fantastic!)

I will sign up, but can tell you that I use coconut oil, and get it from the organic section of our grocery store, Publix. It is a great oil for any use, and is so mild you really could eat it on toast, I think (not that anyone would want to!). Thanks for the link!

Thanks for the opportunity to win the oil. I've subscribed to their newsletter. I love tropical traditions coconut oil; I use it as my oil to fry in, my facial/body moisturizer, hair treatment, and most recently to combat my sunburned face, shoulders, and back! I have a bag of the shredded coconut which I made some yummy coconut vanilla muffins with for my birthday last month.

I love coconut oil! It's very diff than coconut itself. i use it mainly as a cleanser and moisturizer. I'd love the free jar, but don't want the newsletter. :0) I get so much stuff I don't look at, I fear that would be another thing.
