Great as usual!

My two favorites today are the before and after with the pants. LOL. And I agree about spending time and not money with children. That is SO important.

Happy New Year!

Love you...

We are all lucky if we are getting older...and even luckier if we can do it with a sense of humor.

hi Sandie. I'm right here. I have very precious time on my computer lately. But once all of the out of town guests are on their way I can get my blogging done the way I please. I still love you and want to keep you in my heart and mind forever and ever. One more event tomorrow and then things will be better in my responsibilities around here. Still visiting our ill relative and the holidays have been so busy. But I have been able to post M-F for three weeks now. {major goal accomplished, yay!} There are a ton of funniest items here today. I laughed at most of them because they are sadly TRUE! lol

Thank you for this one today! This is the year that I turn 60, Lord willing. And I am NOT looking forward to it! So, I really appreciated the laughs and the good thoughts in this post.

Just yesterday I was getting my hair colored and cut - (Going gray is not an option at this point. Ahem). And my stylist was telling me that a friend they had just seen on New Year's Day died in his sleep that very night. He was only in his late 40's.

So, the quote about getting older being a privilege really struck me today. Every day that we wake up, God has given to us. Let's use it wisely.

Happy New Year, Sandie, and as always, GOD BLESS!

goodness Sandie - you had me laughing and chuckling none stop!! Great with the sagging pants for the kid and pulled up to his neck for the old man. I don't get it -- How long will this sagging style last???? I saw a guy walking down the street yesterday and he was waddling, his pants were so low!!
On the news the other night, a home owner had a video surveillance camera that caught two guys stealing from their home. In one clip- the guy was loading a stolen TV into his car and his pants were sagging so low down his butt, I swear I saw a brown streak!! If those robbers only knew what the world saw!!
A WONDERFULLY HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU and YOUR FAMILY!!

Hi sweet Sandie, dear friend,
Great Post! I really love it.
It's so very true...
I like the one that says, "Spend more time with children than money with them..."
Telling you a brief old tale about my sad childhood, I really missed my dear daddy when I was a little girl. He preferred spending time with his lover, than spending time with me, his only daughter. My daddy cheated on my mom when I was a little child, and he broke the heart of my mom. My dear mom got so sad and depressed that she took all her anger, sadness, frustrations, her depression on poor me, just a little child. Beatings were daily things. Then, my poor heart -as a little girl- got broken too...
Then, I took 10 years of beatings out of the father of my daughter.
So, I really know how to live with a broken heart. I have gone too far, as far as 60 years old.
I am just too tired of living with a broken heart. At times, I feel like giving up and go to Heaven with the Lord, where I shall finally be at peace.
I truly need some happy hours to remain alive...
Happy New Year, Sandie, family and beloved ones!
Doctor Paul and I are still struggling without elevators living on the 15th floor, without electricity and water, just running on and off. I guess they have forgotten us. Paul is making plans to move elsewhere to a safe place. But if we do, it won't be any Internet computers there...
Please, pray for us, Sandie dear.
Have a blessed New Year with all your beloved ones, my friend!
To my super friend, Sandie,
All the Best,
Starry.

I really like the one where when I fall I look around for what else I can do while down there. And the pants.

Oh oh, SEVEN degrees in Atlanta? That is unheard of. I saw on the CBS Nightly news that the polar air that is usually on top of the globe has tilted onto Canada and is bringing this horrid cold too far south. The Rocky Mountains are protecting us, thus far anyway. We are having normal winter weather finally; a few storms and then below freezing at night and above 32° in the day. Hope you all will be OK!!!♥

Debbie said...

Totally CHUCKLED out loud at Googleheimers!! I am going to remember that one.

I also loved the one about the man getting out of his chair. I'm just blonde enough to have had to stare at it for a millisecond before "getting" it, though. Sad, but true.

I agree about spending time with the children. There is no substitute. Sadly, we're seeing serious neglect these days, even from the *best* of families. It troubles me.

Sandie, I think we have the same humor gene....I smile all the way to my toes reading your selected cartoons and jokes.
