A worthy cause! Insulin and ALL medications!

The cost of drugs is so expensive that many cannot afford the meds they need. It's something that needs attention not just for diabetes.

If I were on Facebook or Twitter I'd pass it on but as I'm a Brit too I don't know if it's relevant here as we have the NHS!

I have diabetes as well and my Glucophage is sooooo costly. But I am grateful for it and for the technology that produced it. I don't expect medicines to be free but I think they could cost a lot less. Generics are usually not that expensive but unfortunately I am unable to take generics (something about the carrier agent in the generic drugs) so I am forced to buy brand name. Glucophage is the brand name of Metformin and costs me $80/mo. I take 3 other medications, for my hypertension, and must buy those in brand name too so.... prescription maintenance drugs account for a huge portion of our monthly budget. But it is what it is. I am grateful for them all or I'd be gone from this earth by now. Blessings upon your day, dear friend. xoxo
