MARCH 10 SPRING IS A BLESSING NOT A SEASON

This quote - "Spring is a Blessing not a Season" - was made up, by my mother.  She loved Atlanta and springtime!

And truthfully, it is quite true.

This is the best season here.  But you better keep your eyes open because it is a quick season.  It gets HOT really fast and summer stays for a long time. My least favorite season.

We are about to be besieged by pollen from the pine trees.  Everything turns yellow. We have tons of car washes here.

The weather will be in the 70's in the day and 50's by night.

(These are not my photos - photo credit goes to secretatlanta.co)

I hope you can enjoy the season.
Just don't blink!  lol

I was about to say, blimey you take awesome photos. Then I read what you put below. What beautiful place 😍
I miss the proper seasons of England. The definition between the seasons is something Western Australia doesn't have, not really.
Summers are usually sweltering,. thankfully as this summer is coming to it's end, it hasn't been that bad.
Spring and winter are like a British summer, everything is green and lush after the intense heat of summer. The flowering season begins in mid February and nears it's end by the end of November.
We don't have autumn like the northern hemisphere either. As autumn is now beginning to creep in, it's slightly shorter days and slightly cooler weather.
I feel we should all embrace every season, as they all bring something to marvel atπŸƒπŸ©·πŸƒ

We will be 70 today a rare March day here but will slide back into snow showers the rest of the week. I look forward to warm lovely days but could not take the heat of Atlanta in the summer.

The baby pic was too cute. We were in the high 60's yesterday and it was wonderful outside. I could not live in the South for the Summer months. I am a wuss when it comes to being really hot outside. I dont like the heat. Janice

Your mom had a great quote! I love, love, love Spring. It's a joy after the long winter. I'm with Janice, I couldn't handle the heat in the south either.

Spring is my favorite season, but you are right it goes by too fast. I try to enjoy each and every day to the fullest. Just wish Spring were a longer season. We've already had some summertime temps here in Texas!

Great idea and post. Love the 'kissed baby'!! Yeah I know the feeling, But yes I do love the Spring season and it doesn't last long enough! Isn't it amazing how the skyline of Atlanta has changed in just a short 60 years! LOL
Love from down here in Florida Looking forward to traveling north in the next few weeks.
Love again.. Sherry & jack

Spring in Atlanta IS the best season for blooms and beauty, Sandie, I agree. It simply can't be beat. But the heat and the pollen? That's for the birds! And your mother's saying is great and oh, so true. Blessings!

First of all what a great quote about running towards the cliff, and the cute one with the little girl. I also enjoyed your mother’s wise words. Our weather has been a lot warmer this week, though there may be snow during the next. I hope that’s wrong, that it changes. We’re getting stuffy noses here too. The windows have been open all week. Beautiful images you’ve shared, thank you Sandra and have a great week!!

Love the pictures, regardless of where they came from. Spring is beautiful in Georgia, I do remember that from when we lived there. (we have lived in Toccoa and Gainesville). But you are right, spring doesn't last long enough. It certainly doesn't here in Florida, for sure! We have been in the 80's every afternoon, however, I see some cooler weather coming back next week after hopefully some rain! But the cooler weather won't last long, and neither will spring. My favorite seasons are fall and spring. That baby picture is so sweet. Yes, I am sure if I had a grandbaby or great grandbaby, I'd be doing the same thing.

So these photos are from your area? So beautiful! I do not like summer either!! It would be my least favorite season. And now with global warming, oy!

Sandie, these Spring photos from Georgia are stunning. Nel used to love living there. So, your spring comes and goes quickly and turns into summer? My least favorite season too. I haven't seen the pink blossoms here yet, but when I do it makes my heart happy. Have you been to these places on here? I like the quote that your mom said each spring. Have a wonderful March week, Sandie. ; )

In April, they have the Masters in Augusta. The announcers go on and on how pretty the dogwood and azaleas are but we know they are like that everywhere here, not just that golf course! Happy Spring blessing!

I'm with you! I hide from the heat, so I like the cooler seasons best. Anyway, enjoy it while we have it! 😊❤️

What super images, Sandie! Spring is my second-least favorite season -- I think because I'm still missing Winter (my favorite). Only this morning I noticed all the pollen on my black car ... achoo! achoo!
I don't know that I'll ever get to Atlanta -- stories about the insane traffic leave me leery -- but it sure looks beautiful.

All the pictures are beautiful. Thanks for sharing them. I can't wait till things start blooming and everything turns green again. 70 during the day is just about perfect

Spring is also my favorite. We are having less and less intermediary seasons here and heat arrives quickly so better go out in Spring. The pictures are beautiful! Love the baby picture πŸ˜‚

Our spring starts at the end of January, here in central FL. It was 88° yesterday and may hit 90 today. Summer has arrived. At least it isn't too humid yet. That's what I dislike the most. Have a blessed day, my friend!

LOVE that quote from your mother and it is so true! Fall is still my faviorite season but spring is such a BLESSING! Summer is my least favorite...
Love you, my dear!

I too enjoy spring but when the trees start contributing their pollen all I can say is Achoo !!
I have been to Atlanta 2 or 3 times but really can't remember the temperatures since I was there for work and mainly saw the inside of the big convention center ... in in the dark of morning and leaving to go back to the hotel in the dark of evening. I do remember getting lost several times because it seems that every street is Peach Tree something or other.

The photos of your area in spring are beautiful, and the picture of the baby covered in kisses is just too cute.

Sandie I can tell from the pictures that Georgia in the spring is so beautiful. Hope it doesn't rush too fast and you get to enjoy each blessed moment. God bless your mom for that quote...how true - spring is certainly more than a season. Hugs!

Enjoy your Spring while you can. That pollen has to be so terrible. I do like what your mother said. Your photos are so pretty. You take care.
