MARCH 3 BIRTHDAY

We went to a Mexican Restaurant, and I ordered a steak and Margaria - well it was my birthday after all.
Grandson had them come serenade me.
I was NOT expecting it.

This is an eternity bracelet for a GREAT GRANDMA - thank you M.

Now this had to be the nicest gift of all.  LOL.  I love strawberry cake and real strawberry icing.
Daughter didn't want to make a 'whole' cake, so she made a half cake in an aluminum pan.
So sweet and perfect size.

She put it in the oven for the exact amount of time, and it was not baking.  So, she left in in 45 minutes. Then finally took it out!

We needed to cover it.

We looked HIGH and we LOOKED low for the lid.

We looked in the trash - we looked everywhere.

Well, I decided to test it out (haha).

I tried to cut into it and it would not let me cut the bottom!

In fact, two red pieces of plastic came out.

????????????

I thought maybe she left a plastic spoon in there?

Oh my gosh - the lid for the pan was never taken out of the pan.

This is what it looked like baked and still with the price tag on it.

So, I had a strawberry cake baked in plastic!

It was so very thoughtful of her, and so funny.

We all had a big laugh.

Afterall it is the thought that counts.

M had her first playdate.  Her friend is three days younger than she is.
They had the same pj's and they are not twins.
M is on the left.

Let me tell you and I am NOT prejudice - she is the sweetest and happiest baby I have ever met in my life.

Some words of wisdom:

Do you sit there and think - I will be so glad when this is over, and this happens.

Then it happens and you think - I will be so glad when this is over, and this happens.

Then that happens and you think - I will be so glad when this is over, and this happens.

Get my drift here?

Be happy wherever you are, because IT WILL CHANGE!

So even if you are older, be happy where you are, because . . .

you could end up looking like this!

(Grandson did it.)

What a wonderful celebration Sandie...I see you ordered a steak at the Mexican restaurant.. that's Okay...it was your Birthday..🤣. Love the bracelet and I know it is so very special to you. Something you will always keep. How funny about the cake lid. I'm sure the cake was still super delicious and just think how many laughs this will bring even in years ahead. Hey..glad you all found the lid though. Little M is adorable and the photo of she and her playmate (in their matching PJ's) is precious. Yep...I've said those words a few times as I was dreading something, but I always have a good time and then life goes on. sending hugs to you that stretches across the miles.

Happy Birthday! It looks like your family celebrated you well - right down to a cake baked in plastic. I loved all the pictures.
My husband baked a frozen pizza on the cardboard a few weeks ago and that didn't work so great either.

YES, I get your drift!!!! But also isn't it true that accidents (cooking) make some great stories. LOL Of course we love the entry and understand it. So young lady, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! This is a great read and the NOT_TWINS make a good picture. A smile is NEVER turned down...
Love you sweet lady, Glad you are around to celebrate and you look good Mexican!

Oh my! What a story! Happy Birthday, first of all! Looks like you celebrated well!! Love that bracelet! Now, the story of the cake baked in plastic and you still ate it is funny. I'm surprised the plastic didn't melt! I'd like to know how she made the frosting for the cake. My hubby wants a real strawberry cake, but I wasn't sure about how to make the frosting with the strawberries. Did she use fresh or frozen? Was it like a buttercream frosting? Just curious because hubby wants one. LOL. I love the pictures. And those sweet babies dressed alike are so precious. Happy Happy Birthday! This was a great story!

Happy happy birthday! Yesterday, the 2nd was my birthday! That is funny about the cake. The first thing that popped into my mind was "The best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry". Those things do happen and no doubt that will be remembered for many years!
Cute photos of the babies and your bracelet was such a thoughtful gift!

Those two playmates are adorable in their matching outfits. My birthday is coming up this weekend so we're both March babies but I'm older than you ! I'm celebrating the whole month of March hope you will join me. We deserve more than just one day of celebration!

Mexican food is good and delicious. I hope you enjoyed it well. Strawberry cake - so sorry about the plastic, both to you and the baker. A sweet, happy baby is a blessing indeed. Love the words of wisdom.

Happy birthday! What a freak accident with the cake. This is exactly the kind of thing that happens to me. I used to always leave the Styrofoam liner under the beef when I fried it. It would stick the plastic to the pot and nothing would save it, so had to get a new pot. The babies look like twins! You look so pretty!! Not anywhere near your age!

How cute you look in that big sombrero! Are you no longer wearing eyeglasses; did I miss something?
That birthday cake mishap(?) is hilarious. That's something that y'all can laugh about all the rest of your years! Happy "New Year", my friend!

The bracelet is very special, you're very loved.

Love your photo. Sounds like a nice birthday celebration and I love that bracelet. So sorry about the issue with the cake. That is sweet about the play date and them having the same pajamas on. Yes, I do think that way and I need to stop. Love that last photo!
