APRIL 14 A TRIBUTE TO MY BROTHER AND AN UPCOMING WEDDING

My nephew is getting remarried this coming weekend, April 18, his father, my brother, passed away April 4, 1997, at the age of 51.  29 years!!!

I was looking for pictures of my brother, Andy and thought I would share a couple.  They want to put his picture up at their wedding.  Her parents are both gone, and they want to celebrate all three of them - so sweet.

My dad, me, Rick, my mom, and my brother.
All my nuclear family is gone now.

This is Andy and his wife Kathy.  Kathy is still here.

Andy and myself.

Half-Brother, Andy, Me, Dad, Half-sister.

My brother and father are gone - and yikes, I will probably be next.

My brother was just the sweetest man you ever knew.  He loved his family dearly.  His daughter was in the Navy, and he came over almost every day with new pictures of her with her children.  He would give anyone the shirt off his back.  He was a lot more of a relaxed personally than I ever was.  He didn't really get too nervous or excited about things.

I think this was one of the saddest days of my entire life when he died.
I actually wailed.
Can't say I understand it, but I trust it was for the best.

I know he would be so excited about Joey getting married and Jessica is wonderful.

Andy has three grandchildren. Six grandchildren.

And my grandson was named in memory of him.

Oh, what a wonderful tribute to your brother. I am so sorry for your loss, even though it's been a long time...we don't forget those we love. I am sure he will be there in spirit to witness and celebrate this happy event. I do wonder about what our loved ones can see and know about our events here on earth. Somehow I think they know and they are celebrating with us. Praying the wedding will be a beautiful day and tribute to those loved ones who have gone on before. They certainly have left an amazing legacy. Thank you for sharing this with us.

No one realizes the pain of losing a sibling until they experience it. I'm the only one left, too.

Your brother sounds like he was a gem of a person who cared deeply for his family, Sandie. I know you will always miss him, and I do hope this weekend's wedding will invite his presence into the celebration. I loved your wedding photos, too! Blessings!

Such a great tribute to Andy. He truly sounds like a wonderful person and I know those of y'all who loved him still remember and, like you, talk about him. What a legacy!

It is hard loosing any family member. I have lost a sister and I know how that felt. But I think they are always close by in our hearts forever. Weddings are all so wonderful. Congrates to the newly weds!

So many wonderful memories of your loved ones. I love when a family name is carried on, as you did with your Andy. It means so much. Seeing the photos was a treat, putting the names with the faces. Thanks for sharing!!
