Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Not everything that looks beautiful on the outside is beautiful on the inside.
And of course, the opposite it true - something not so beautiful can be really beautiful.
Beauty is in the soul.
I think you need to take time to learn someone's heart.
For example, my friend Edna, the average person scoffed at her, but once you got to know her heart - she was beautiful.
My granddaughter in law - well she is a gorgeous girl, but I tell you her heart matches it. She's a blessed one. She is such a gentle soul. I am so glad my grandson married her. She truly is the sweetest mom.
Beauty is the light within...
We have a toy box just for "M". She knows it's hers and owns it!!! We also have a book basket. A little clothes and changing basket. Our family room looks like it is going to EXPLODE.
My family has their 'special' things everywhere.
Why I get kidded all the time and it's not all mine, I have no idea.
But you know what - who cares - it's beautiful to me because it shows LIVED IN AND LOVED.
We moved from a 5-bedroom house with 3500 square feet to a three-bedroom town house 1800 square feet a few years ago and I got rid of half my life!! That was hard.
If people can come and have a good time, enjoy, and not worry - then it's beautiful to me.
(I figure the gang can just toss the rest of it out when I'm gone.)
Pictures on Facebook are beautiful to me.
They just make my heart warm and happy.
They make me smile.
The sillier the better.
Memes are beautiful to me.
I send some out daily to friends and loved ones.
It is how I express love and saying, "Hello, I love you and I'm thinking of you".
I hope this plays. Let me know.
MUSIC is beautiful to me too.
What is something beautiful to you?

Merci beaucoup pour la musique Parisienne. Cela m'a rendu très heureux aujourd'hui.
Mes meilleurs vœux à vous et à votre famille. God bless.
I'm currently living in a beautiful world. There is beauty all around us if we just take the time to look for it . I have a beautiful family and a beautiful life. Nothing could be better than the life I live.
Your family room sounds perfectly warm and inviting, Sandie. Beautiful, just like Edna and your sweet DIL.
I didn't always realize this, but now I believe beauty is something one feels in their heart as well as in their eyes. Thank you for being a beautiful friend!
Beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder, Sandie. And you definitely have your priorities straight - life isn't about things, but about relationships. With little "M" visiting, you have a full and happy plate. Enjoy every minute of it!
Oh, I love that first picture of the older woman, and I especially liked your words about beauty. I think it's so special that Mackenzie has her own little play corner with books and toys and clothes. I know what you mean about the room exploding.....When I visited the girls, we had so much fun, and their houses got crazy messy, but there was so much love within all the walls of the house. That little duck with the pink fluffy shoes is delightful. You know how much I love pink. And there's just something about Paris music, isn't there? It's soothing to listen to sometimes. Shaye is a lovely person, and I'm glad Andy found her. And thank you for all your e-mails of delightful quotes and pictures. They make my heart smile daily.
I absolutely loved this post. It made me pause and reflect on what beauty truly means to me. For me, beauty will always be being out in nature. It fills my heart with love and gratitude, just taking in the awe-inspiring beauty God has given us to share with our loved ones.
I too get so much beauty in my soul from nature and my family.
They "feed" me daily.
I love the special places in your family room for M. and how it explodes with Family "stuff". I love the joy and cozy feeling that comes from that happiness.
Definitely love your memes and the emotions they bring out in me.
(((hugs)))
Sue
That duck wearing the pink shoes is so cute. Loe it, and loved this post.
Beauty definitely is in the eye of the beholder--not just in the things you wrote about--but even in the things in our surroundings we choose to take pictures of. Some of my favorite ones I've taken were of rusty things and dead looking trees.
P.S. I just noticed the C.S. Lewis quote on your sidebar about the great divorce. Is it okay if I share it?
I love the music! Our house is soon be transformed into a playground for our grandchildren toys everywhere during one month! 8 poeple in the house! ( I know the songs that go with the music! The second one is particularly beautiful)
I will not be much on my blog I have a lot to prepare and then look after the two boys, cook and go out with them! See you soon.
I think it's wonderful that she has her own things at your house! It will be her second home, and she already knows she is loved by you!!
Years ago, I asked my son could he tell me if my blog had a theme. He told me that it was easy to see, I am always in search of beauty! Yes, my son is and always has been the sweetest guy.
Beautiful truly is in the eye of the beholder, dear Sandie! The duck wearing the pink shoes made me smile broadly! Lovely music, dear friend. I love this post! It's wonderful to be surrounded by those we love....and who love us!
Well, this was beautiful for sure! I love that your family loves to come to your home and that you have things there for them, especially the sweet "M". That shows them that you love having them there and they feel welcomed and loved. That is beautiful to me. Beauty is watching how others care for one another, especially a younger person caring for an older parent or grandparent. Beauty is seeing the beauty in God's creation all around us. Beauty has nothing to do with "appearance" on the outside, but everything to do with what is shining through from the inside. I enjoyed this post. Thank you. It was "beautiful!".
I know about leaving stuff behind. I moved from a 3000 sq ft home to one that is 1250 sq ft. It was sad letting things go...but knew I had to. I so love that duck pic. Too cute! Janice
