OLD WORLD GOURMET and Wellness Tips

I was asked to try another product from a company called Old World Gourmet.  They sent me a product to mix in red wine to make a sangria.  I don't drink a lot - but the two drinks I like are Beringer's White Zinfandel and Sangria!!   So I said sure!   It's called a Vino-Licious mixer.

I had plans in my mind to add some orange slices and a couple other pieces of fruit.  YUM!

Now here are the websites and you can check them out.

If you're interested, but you don't win in the free mix - you can use the code SHIP50 - that will give you free shipping on all orders of $50 or more.    If you don't drink wine there are mixers for other types of things OR/AND there are also snacks!!!!!!!!!!!  So look them up and see if you like anything.

If you are interested in being in the 'pot' just tell me below to put you in the pot! lol

Now for my assessment or review:

 I give it a THUMBS . . .

And I was not paid for this - this is my own opinion.

And the winner for last weeks diabetic socks is: DENISE AT SHORTYBEARS PLACE
Please send me your address and I will send the company your address.

Next week I'll pick the winner for this Old World Gourmet...

NOW FOR THE RECIPE OF THE WEEK IS BANANA CHOCOLATE NUT LOAF - I leave out the nuts but you can add nuts if you like.

I love chocolate and sweets - but alas I can't or shouldn't have it.  So my goal is to look for foods I love that I can eat.

This is one you can eat and not feel too guilty.

2 cups almond flour (or you can blend almonds into a powder).
3/4/ cups dugar free substitude - I use NuNaturals
1/2 cups walnuts - optional
1/2 cup ground flazseed
1/4 cup garbanzo-bean flour (you can also make yourself)
2 tsp. baking soda
1/3 cup coconut oil - melted (I use tropical traditions)
3 medium bananas mashed
3 large eggs - separated
3/4 cup chopped dark chocolate - divided

1   Combine first 7 ingredients and 1/4 tsp salt.  Stir in coconut oil, bananas, egg yorks and 1/2 cup chocolate.

2   Using mixer beat egg whites 2 minutes or until soft peaks form and gentle fold into batter

3   Pour batter into lined 9x5 load pan lightly coated with cooking spray.  Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes or until done.  Let cool in pan 10 minutes.  Remover from pan.  Let cool.  Melt remaining chocolate; drizzle over the top.  Garnish with walnuts, if desired.

Well I guess that is a wrap for today.
