Lake Lanier Islands

Now we are entering the Christmas Season - the best season of all. Did you know that is how snow cones are made?

Okay - let's start the trip. On Saturday night we did an impromptu drive to Lake Lanier Islands in Buford, GA. About an hour from where I live. The cost was $50 - we divided between 3 people - so not too bad.

Peacock.

Candles.

Dragon.

Marshmallows lit on fire.

My little grandson thinking of what he could do next!

He could open the sun roof and stand up and look out. Chatty on left. Renea on the right.

I think he's so cute.

And of course they had a large store with tons of ornaments and decorations for Christmas. They had an entire UGA store and if I hadn't inundated my son's home already I would have gotten him something - oh well. Here is a red tree.

A white tree.

Here is Andy and Renea roasting marshmallows. Andy LOVED that.

Touching it to make sure it's not too hot to eat.

This is nobody - just wanted to show you that this was November 28, 2009 - and the weather was in the 50's - so some people were in shorts and some in coats - depending on your nature I guess.

Kelly and Andy going to the maze.

Renea and Andy on the Wizzard. It goes up and down and forward and backwards. I used to be able to ride these kinds of rides - but as I got older - I suppose I could, but I'd rather not.

The Ferris Wheel - they had a full fledged amusement park - extra money of course.

View from on top of the Ferris wheel - I went with Andy.
So we really had a great time - especially Andy and he feel asleep on the way home and we just put him to bed. A great ending! Andy I wonder if you will remember this when you grow up? You were so happy.

Happy Birthday Richard Pryor from Wikipedia -

Marriages
Pryor was married seven times to five different women:

Patricia Price (1960–1961) (divorced) with 1 child named Richard Pryor, Jr.
Shelly Bonus (1967–1969) (divorced) with 1 child named Rain Pryor
Deborah McGuire (September 22, 1977 – 1979) (divorced)
Jennifer Lee (August 1978 – October 1982) (divorced)
Flynn Belaine (October 1986 – July 1987) (divorced) with 1 child
Flynn Belaine (1 April 1990 - July 1991) (divorced) with 1 child
Jennifer Lee (29 June 2001 – 10 December 2005) (his death)

His marriages were characterized by accusations of domestic violence and spousal abuse, except for his relationship with Belaine. Most of these allegations were connected to Pryor's drug use. The exception was Patricia Price who was married to Pryor before his rise to stardom. Deborah McGuire accused him of shooting her car with a .357 Magnum, but later dropped the charges (even though Pryor mentioned the incident in Live in Concert). Lee accused him of beating and attempting to strangle her during their first marriage[citation needed], and did not share his home after they remarried. During his relationship with Pam Grier, Pryor proposed to Deborah McGuire (1977).

He had six children: Richard Jr., Elizabeth, Rain, Steven, Franklin and Kelsey.

His wife at the time of his death was quoted as saying, "He died with a smile upon his face." "

Love,

Chatty
