So what happened to you as you aged? Did you get more beautiful or less beautiful?When I walk past the mirror sometimes I see someone I don't 'quite' recognize. Yet on the inside I feel young and beautiful. I don't feel 56.
And tell me this - why is it when we are young - our bodies are beautiful and our insides are so mixed up? Through the years most of us ripen. We get at peace with ourselves. Our insides are beautiful and out outsides have aged!
This picture has always intrigued me.
I believe this is a picture of a woman - her eyes look pensive to me - maybe indicating that she's not where or how she wants to be yet -but deep inside, she has a stronger sense of self - like the wolf. The wolf being very symbolic of inner strength.
I have a piece of that wolf inside myself too. (Okay maybe I'm self reflecting here).
Okay, Okay - it's a thinking day for me. I've let you have a couple of days to kick back and have coffee and chocolate - get some coffee and chocolate and think along with me here for a minute.
The video below, when I watched it - immediately brought to surface some deep feelings. It shows this older woman getting ready to sing for Simon and the other two judges on Britain's Got Talent.
She looks old and not too pretty (I'll even admit that) as far as the outside world would define beauty. She gets on stage. She says she's going to sing this particular song and the audience cracks up laughing at her. How could this old thing think she could do some song as beautiful as that?
She starts singing and from the first second on, she captivates the crowd. The joy and beauty that comes out of her is amazing. She radiates elegance. She could sing fabulously even though her outside appearance didn't match the beauty she held inside!
The crowd turned to her favor and realized that what appeared on the outside was not an indication of what was on the inside. The crowd was cynical in their first quick reaction to her and it wasn't until they saw her inner beauty that they thought of her as beautiful or worthy.

When I saw it my feelings were that I have that much inner beauty too!
I'm not saying here that looks and taking care of yourself are not important, what I'm saying is don't always judge a book by it's cover - open the book and read what is inside. If you don't, you may miss the real beauty.
We all need to be open and take the time to 'read' others.
