Thursday - Grandchildren

I have two wonderful grandsons (well actually 4 if you count Disco the dog and Toby the cat).

We went to Ohio and visited one grandson with the other grandson - and that is one reason I got all off track with my blogging. lol

There are ten years difference between them.

My eldest grandson and eldest child 'played' all weekend on the WI. Which was really nice of my son because he really gave of his time. GS LOVED IT!!!

My two wonderful grandchildren - Chatty is very lucky!

Excuse the no make-up but we just got there from being in the car 8 hours!
My dear DIL and baby - she is so tired because dear little grandson is a stinker - he doesn't sleep very much!
We went to the park to try to wear him out - we got worn out - lol - it was in the high 90"s.

His first swing ride.
The two grandsons really fell in love with one another.

Son and grandson at the zoo. In the 90's - I stayed home to try to help the DIL!

Dad and son - they are really close.
I just thought this was a cute picture - them coming out of the cooling mist.
Oh no - he's being tossed off the alligator!

"Born Norma Jeane Mortenson in the city of LA, Marilyn Monroe (1926-1962) lived with her single mother, Gladys for only 12 days, then spent most of her sad, lonely childhood in different foster homes.

"My mother... was a pretty woman who never smiled," Monroe once recalled. "I'd seen her often before but I hadn't known quite who she was. When I said, 'Hello mama,' she stared at me. She had never kissed me or held me in her arms or hardly spoken to me."
"I don't understand why people aren't a little more generous with each other." ~ Marilyn Monroe"

And my personal opinion is that I do have sympathy for her - it hurts not to be loved. It's like learning to read. There is a specific time to learn to read in a child's life. Not that they can't be taught later on and learn to read - but it will take hard work, struggles, and determination - AND they will never learn to read as affluently as if they learned it as a young child.

Same for love - you miss it as a child - you look for it in many ways as an adult. I wonder if she every found it?
