"Life is lived forward, but understood backward. It is not until we are down the road and we stand on the mountain looking back through the valley that we can appreciate the terrain God has allowed us to scale.” Jill Savage

Breeze Among The Flowers

Okay, onward. "I have found that if you love life, life will love you back." -Arthur Rubenstein

I listed that as my introductory information for Chatty Crone just recently. As you know I love quotes and I think of them as meditations. I love that saying. I can honestly say that most days for me are like that, but not all. I have my ups and downs.

I'd say years ago, when I was young I was more down then up. I don't want to get into it here, but I had a rather rough childhood, but then again who didn't? So I was young I was more depressed when I looked at life.

I worked my butt off to grow and change. I wasn't going to stay down. It was a choice I made long ago. It was a crossroad and I had to make a chance. To find my soul and the essence of who I was or I could have chose to be bitter and angry, With God's help I chose the higher path.

So now that I am aging, I guess you could say, while I had problems, while I still have some problems, I look through my eyes with more positiveness than negativity.

I think the very hardest thing I have yet to overcome, is someone else's negativity. Being around negativity constantly is hard deal with. You have to be ever vigilant and not let them bring you down with them or let them affect you. Sometimes it gets tiring and you want to throw in the towel and walk away, but when you give yourself some time and space, you fill your life up with the more positive thoughts, people, and things - you just pick yourself up and go on. Then things get better again. Maybe it's a test of sorts. I don't know...

I think as you think, you will be. You can change no one else - only yourself. Something I received in email today is exactly how I feel so I am copying it below.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The following is totally copied from Daily Celebrations on June 12th "Breeze Among the Flowers" - it is an awesome positive site....

I seldom think about my limitations, and they never make me sad. Perhaps there is just a touch of yearning at times, but it is vague, like a breeze among flowers." ~ Helen Keller

Never mind your limitations... Focus on what you have and what you can do."

The problem is, the problem is... well, the problem is that there is no problem!" said the Earthworm in Ronald Dahl's delightful book James and the Giant Peach.

There are no problems! Each day is a chance to make dreams come true and a celebration of your value and your accomplishments. Big and little successes. All yours.

As motivational expert Josh S. Hinds observed, "I believe a little bit of success lies in everyone!

Will you be the one to deny that? Or rather be the one who chooses to be guided by it?

I hope you choose as I to do the latter!"

Take the time to recognize and congratulate yourself for what you plan to do, what you tried to do, what you can do. Look at how much you do, each and every day. Reward yourself. Appreciate yourself. Honor your worth. You deserve the best, so soar and shine!

Eleanor Roosevelt once said, "Before we can make friends with anyone else, we must first make friends with ourselves. "Be a friend to yourself and validate your spirit. Think of something special you can do for yourself today and do it!

~What limitations?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If I wrote or believed in nothing else (I'm not talking about God here - he stands alone) this would be it. This is the core of my soul. You read this - you know who I am.

If I never said anything else (and that won't happen) this would be all I'd ever have to say.

Love,
Chatty Crone
