Children See ... Children Do

Kind of interesting - be sure and watch until the end. Something to think about - and I think it applies to more than just children - think about how we all act in front of one another.

A girlfriend and I went to the movies a couple weeks ago. A woman my age turned around and asked the man behind her to please stop kicking her chair (personally I would have moved). Anyway at the end of the movie he started screaming at her.

Eventually (the woman had left her seat by then and was exiting) the man was still screaming and actually jumped the rail from the balcony - 8 to 10 feet below and went after the woman.

What an amazing thing to see. I do led an interesting yet somewhat odd life (Lol). It's awesome at times and at other times . . .

No worries for me or the woman - my friend is a black belt and went immediately to help! Made for an interesting day. There is road rage and now there is movie rage.

I'm a middle age hippy - make love not war.

Chatty, the video was awesome and indeed true...as for the man at the movies....hope he was escorted out of the theater!

I could not view the video.

It is amazing how much anger and frustration is out there and where it manifests itself.

Changes In The Wind . . .

The man was indeed escorted out - when he saw my friend and the security guards running towards him - he high tailed it and ran out into the parking lot as fast as possible. Everyone looked for him, but he was no where to be found. The security guards walked the other women to their car. It was weird.

Welcome Mark,

I'm not sure what you meant by could not - computer problems or you personally couldn't?

Thanks for making a comment and coming by.

That's the word I would use - I was 'amazed' at the movie, a chick flick, and how angry this man became over nothing.

Wow...I would freak out in my small town experiences, if I went to a movie, and someone wigged out like that!!! How unsettling.
The video was very thought provoking, and true. April remarks all the time how Emmy watches them, and imitates them. They are very careful in what they say and do as they are extremely responsible parents, and have a happy home. Emmy is very, very lucky...however, all kids are not as lucky. And, isn't that so sad, that they'll grow up angry, and their childhood is already stolen from them.
Good post dearie.

Cordi Dog Mama,

You are right - we must do everything possible to teach our children the 'right' way to live - but we can't verbally teach them, we must role model it.

Monkey see, monkey do.

I have two daughters 5 & 11 and I have to tell you children are like sponges!
I don't want to sound paranoid but the influence of TV, computers and of course life sometimes frightens me.
Great post!

I couldn't agree more - even the cartoons are violent and they effect my grandson. You can tell his behavior is much more aggressive when he watches some cartoons over others. We try to monitor him
