Who are you?

The object of a New Year is not that we should have a new year. It is that we should have a new soul.

Happy Birthday Jane Wyman
- From WIkipedia
Wyman was born Sarah Jane Mayfield in St. Joseph, Missouri. Although her birth date has been widely reported for many years as January 4, 1914, research by biographers and genealogists indicates that she was born on January 5, 1917. The most likely reason for the 1914 date is that she added to her age when beginning her career as a minor in order to work legally.

Birthplace in St. Joseph Her parents were Manning Jefferies Mayfield, a meal-company laborer, and (Gladys) Hope Christian, a doctor's stenographer and office assistant. In October 1921, her mother filed for divorce, and her father died unexpectedly the following year at age 27. After her father's death, her mother moved to Cleveland, Ohio, leaving her to be raised by foster parents, Emma and Richard D. Fulks, the chief of detectives of Saint Joseph, and she took their surname unofficially, including in her school records and, apparently, her first marriage certificate.

Her unsettled family life resulted in few pleasurable memories. Wyman later recalled:
“ I was raised with such strict discipline that it was years before I could reason myself out of the bitterness I brought from my childhood. ”

Jane Wyman died at the age of 90 at her Rancho Mirage home on Monday, September 10, 2007, having long suffered from arthritis and diabetes. Wyman's son, Michael Reagan, released a statement saying:

“ I have lost a loving mother, my children Cameron and Ashley have lost a loving grandmother, my wife Colleen has lost a loving friend she called Mom and Hollywood has lost the classiest lady to ever grace the silver screen. ”

It was reported that Wyman died in her sleep of natural causes. Since she was a member of the Dominican order of the Catholic Church, she was buried in a nun's habit. She was interred at Forest Lawn Mortuary and Memorial Park in Cathedral City, California

I loved her in Pollyanna - do any of you remember that?

My choice from about was squiggles.

Love,
Chatty

Ahhh, Sandie, I knew we got along good for some reason...lol..mine was scribbles also.
I loved Jane Wyman, very classy lady. Sorry I'll probably get hollered at, but I think Ronald Reagan messed up big time leaving her for Nancy.

By the way, love what you've done to the place. I'm too chicken to change my blog design. Good for you!

I was up in the air between a circle and squiggles...

I always liked Jane Wyman and thought she was really beautiful. I did tend to get her mixed up with another actress of that era, though (can't remember her name) but one of them played a lady that got terribly injured and couldn't walk for a long time and there was a final scene when she stood up and I think, sang a song and it was such a touching scene that I've always remembered it. Do you remember anything like that?

Gee Chatty, I couldn't decide which one I liked the most. The only one I didn't consider was the triangle. I must be a complicated woman! lol

Angela

I'm a toss between a circle and squiggle. I'm a little of both, and not some of both either. This is a fun quiz.

Oh man...it was a toss up between squiggles and a circle! Glad to see many others like that!
Jane Wyman was a very strong woman, and Molly girl, she left Ronald, not the other way round. His heart broke when she left him! I read this somewhere.
Your new blog look is really cool...love it!
