Making Candy -

Check at Sue at Rue-Mouffetard - is my candy mentor! We went to the Le Cordon Bleu of Atlanta for lunch last month with a few other wonderful blogging friends. After lunch we went to a shop called Cake Art - well not only cake, but candy too. I had never made any so she gently encouraged me to do so! And I thank you Sue - I loved it a lot and so did my grandson. He is going to bring it in for his teacher on Friday - if there are any left! We do need to practice more - but this was good for our first tries.

WHOSYERGURL - Mutterings from a midwest gal. suggested the bunny hop - I thought that would be easy to find, but it wasn't. Not sure who this little girl is - but it was cute.

Happy Birthday Debbie Reynolds - Wikipedia

Reynolds was born in El Paso, Texas, the second child of Maxine N.and Raymond Francis Reynolds, who was a carpenter for the Southern Pacific Railroad. Reynolds was a Girl Scout and a troop leader (a scholarship in her name is offered to high-school age Girl Scouts). Her family moved to Burbank, California, in 1939, and she was raised in a strict Nazarene faith. At age 16, while a student at Burbank's John Burroughs High School, Reynolds won the Miss Burbank Beauty Contest, a contract with Warner Brothers, and acquired her new first name.

Very cute! Enjoyed the Debbie Reynolds information. "Singing in the Rain" is one of my favorite movies.

Good Morning Sandie Sweetie...
What a precious post. I love the picture of your candy making adventure. Looks like fun was had by all and that some taste testin went on as well. I would like one of those chocolate bunnies with a blue egg please? Looked yummy.

I did not know these things about Debbie. I didn't know where she was born, didn't know that she was actually in a beauty contest especially and that is how she got her contract. Can you believe that?
Such a beautiful lady.

Happy Easter Sweetie. Country hugs and much love...Sherry

Oh cute post every bit of it! There wouldn't be any of that candy left for Friday if it were my kitchen, I'm afraid ;>). Looks like you guys were having a great time. How cool is it that you have a group of blogging friends in your "real" life. I've never met any of mine.

I saw the birthday column in this morning's paper and I guessed that you would do Debbie Reynolds (she rocks).

I am glad you had so much fun making the candy. We need to have a candy making party one day in the future and donate them to a good cause. Now why do I have the feeling we would all eat the chocolate before it ever arrived at a charity auction? Blog gals have good hearts but honestly I like to fill up my big belly with chocolates! Off to boil eggs for coloring with Mr. Vundervants. No bunny dance for me today as I am out of shape this year:)

Hey Sandie!

Looks like Andy had a great time making candy with his Grandma!

I'm going to be making some Easter candy with my kids tomorrow! My secret sister at church gave me a pretzel mold and the candy to make some candy! It's been a long time since I've done it. I do have lots of different molds for different holidays. I'm not sure why I haven't made it in a long time????

Hope you have a Wonderful Easter!

Aww... I'm glad you had a blast making candy. I only make candy for Christmas, but I enjoy it. It's so cool how you include birthday wishes to different celebrities. A lot of fun to read.

I pray you're doing well. Thank you for sharing this with us. May God richly bless you!
