"Life is lived forward, but understood backward. It is not until we are down the road and we stand on the mountain looking back through the valley that we can appreciate the terrain God has allowed us to scale.” Jill Savage

Moving on through the week . . .

I don't know how this works but it does. This will drive you nuts if you let it.

http://www.quizyourprofile.com/guessyournumber.swf It can tell what number you are thinking! Hey - If any one can figure this out - let me know!

One day, a mouse peeked through a crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife opening a package.

"What food might this bundle contain?" the mouse wondered. He was devastated to discover that it contained a mousetrap.

Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed at the top of his lungs, "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!"

The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head, and said, "Mr. Mouse, I can tell that this is a grave concern to you, but it is of no consequence to me. I cannot be bothered by it."

The mouse turned to the pig and told him, "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!"

The pig sympathized but said, "I am so very sorry, Mr. Mouse. There is nothing I can do about it but pray. Be assured that you are in my prayers."

The mouse turned to the cow and said, "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!"

The cow said, "Oh, Mr. Mouse. I'm sorry for you, but it's no skin off my nose."

So the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected, to face the farmer's mousetrap alone.

That very night, a sound was heard throughout the house -- the sound of a mousetrap catching its prey.

The farmer's wife rushed to see what was caught. In the darkness, she could not see that it was a venomous snake whose tail was caught in the trap.

The snake bit the farmer's wife; the farmer rushed her to the hospital.

When she returned home she still had a fever. Everyone knows to treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard to get the soup's main ingredient: chicken.

But his wife's fever continued. Friends and neighbors came to sit with her around the clock. To feed them, the farmer butchered the pig.

But, alas, the farmer's wife did not get well... and eventually she died.

So many people came for her funeral that the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide enough meat for the funeral luncheon.

The mouse looked upon it all from his crack in the wall with great sadness.

So, the next time you hear that someone is facing a problem, and you think that it doesn't concern you, remember ---

When one of us is threatened, we are all at risk. We are all involved in this journey called life. We must keep an eye out for each other and make an extra effort to encourage one another.

REMEMBER THAT EACH OF US IS A VITAL THREAD IN ANOTHER PERSON'S TAPESTRY. OUR LIVES ARE WOVEN TOGETHER FOR A REASON. One of the best things to hold onto in this world is a real FRIEND.

I thought this was an interesting story and so true - we all have to be out there to help others and when we don't - we lose as well.

The kindest way of helping yourself is to find a friend.- Ann Kaiser Stearns

Happy Birthday Jerry Seinfield - Wikipedia

After meeting Jessica Sklar at the Reebok Sports Club, he began dating her. Sklar, a public relations executive for Tommy Hilfiger, had just returned from a three-week honeymoon in Italy with Eric Nederlander, a theatrical producer and scion of a theater-owning family. Sklar divorced Nederlander and married Seinfeld on December 25, 1999. After the nuptials, Jerry and Jessica Seinfeld bought Billy Joel's Amagansett, Long Island house for $32 million in March 2000.

Seinfeld and his wife have three children, one daughter and two sons. Daughter Sascha was born on November 7, 2000 in New York City, son Julian Kal on March 1, 2003 in New York City, and Shepherd Kellen was born on August 22, 2005 at New York's Cornell Medical Center. His son Julian's middle name is Kal, which is the first name of Seinfeld's father. Kal is also the first name of Seinfeld's hero Kal-El (Superman).

In 2000, Jessica Seinfeld launched Baby Buggy, a charity that provides clothing and gear for underprivileged women and children. She is the author of the best-seller Deceptively Delicious: Simple Secrets to Get Your Kids Eating Good Food.

According to Forbes magazine, Jerry Seinfeld's annual earning from Seinfeld, in 1998, was $267 million, making him the highest-earning celebrity that year. Seinfeld still generates more revenue than most current shows, through syndication and DVD sales. He reportedly turned down $5 million per episode, for 22 episodes, to continue the show beyond its final season.

Great example in that story.

The answer to guessing your number lies solely in the color and house selection. The other parts are mere distractions. Informing the quiz master what color your number was narrows the choices from 25 down to 5. Each house has one number for each color, therefore knowing the house number and color gives the correct number each time. :)

I always enjoyed the Seinfeld show and for awhile my son loved watching the reruns; funny humor there indeed
