Show and tail . . .

All right everybody - go to Angela's West Virginia Treasures and tell her about your pet or an animal story. She is a real sweetheart.

Now below, this is one smart, smart dog. I have no idea how to even do one of those commands let along all of them.

Now my GS has taught Disco (his dog) to sit. The problem we are having with him - and he is a rescue dog- is submissive peeing. We have read about it and have tried a couple things to no avail. It's not much, but it drive me nuts. I just don't want to have to worry about it - you know?

Are these an optical illusion or is some one playing a trick on me?

How cute - it's Antonio Bandaras birthday today - wikipedia

He began appearing in American films; some of his earlier roles there included the 1992 film, The Mambo Kings, as well as a supporting role in the Oscar-winning 1993 film, Philadelphia. He appeared in several major Hollywood releases in 1995, including a starring role in the Robert Rodriguez-directed film, Desperado. In 1996, he starred alongside Madonna in Evita, an adaptation of the musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice in which he played the narrator, Che, a role originally played on Broadway by Mandy Patinkin.

He also made success with his role as the legendary Mexican masked swordsman, Zorro in the 1998 film The Mask of Zorro, for which he was the first Spanish actor to portray the character after over 80 years since Zorro's creation. In 2000, Ridley Scott offered Banderas a part as a peasant in his film, Gladiator (2000 film) and he reluctantly accepted, but demanded exactly $50,000 for the role, which is currently the world record for the highest salary of an extra.

In 2001, he collaborated with Robert Rodriguez who cast him in the Spy Kids film trilogy. He also starred in Michael Cristofer's Original Sin alongside Angelina Jolie that year. In 2002, he starred in Brian De Palma's Femme Fatale (film) opposite Rebecca Romijn-Stamos and in Julie Taymor's Frida with Salma Hayek. In 2003 he starred in the last installment of the "Mexico" trilogy Once Upon A Time In Mexico (in which he appeared with Johnny Depp and Salma Hayek). Banderas' debut as a director was the poorly-received Crazy in Alabama (1999), starring his wife Melanie Griffith.

His voice role as Puss in Boots in Shrek 2 and Shrek the Third and the last film in the Shrek franchise; "Shrek Forever After" which made the character popular on the family film circuit. He is set to be the protagonist of the Shrek spin-off film: "Puss in Boots: The Story of an Ogre Killer" Which is said to be released on November 4, 2011.

He also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on 6801 Hollywood Blvd in 2005.

He's actually done quite well for himself.

I'm tired - talk to you tomorrow.

That is one smart dog! I wish I had the time to try to train my girls to do tricks. Jazz will sit and Two knows a thing or two but that is about it. I think I could teach Jazz to dance! lol

Hi Sandie!
I'm guessing you've had little Disco checked by a vet to eliminate a bladder problem?
About a year back, our Caraleigh began having accidents in the middle of the night. After ruling out a medical issue, we finally had to replace the l.r. carpet :( , then put up a doggie-gate before bedtime. Not sure if it was eliminating the residual smell, or the gate -- but she's been good since.
I agree with Granny re. checking "The Dog Whisperer." Sometimes I think he (Cesar Milan) is too mean, but he's a smartie.

I always love seeing those wacky animals in some of the emails I get. These are great... don't think I've ever seen the Polar Tiger before either.

Pippin has a slight problem with that, and so does Dott. We have to be VERY CAREFUL not to spook or surprise them. Since yours is a rescue, you never know what made him so afraid that he does that, poor little thing, but I know it is a pain to put up with, and it's not like he's doing it on purpose either.

What a good dog. I've been trying for at least six weeks to get my dog to sit when I go to put her leash on. She looks at me with a blank look. On a rare occasion she sits when I say it, but I think she really just felt like sitting at that moment. My son says she's a sweet dog, but not the brighest light on the tree. I still keep trying. I also should have named her "treat" since that's the only time she comes when I call her.
