And this is love . . .

I have a belated Christmas story - but what the heck?

I have two grandsons now - one is nine years old and the other is 2 months. They are so cute!

Anyway - this little nine year old monkey - do you know what he did?

Under our tree this year we had lots of wrapped gifts for him and one each for the rest of us. He must have felt bad because little by little there were more and more wrapped gifts under the tree for others.

We figured he was wrapping some of his things for us to unwrap Christmas day. We didn't say anything - we just joked between ourselves that we'll just open them on Christmas day and then we'll put them back later.

Christmas morning we came down stairs. We started to open our gifts - GS wanted us to open ours before he did his. So I went first. My first gift from him - was not one of his toys - it was one of my own MISSING ITEMS!

I had a stapler that had been missing for a couple of weeks. Then the second gift was my scissors! I had looked for these things for such a long time!!!!!!!!! It was so cute.

The gifts were perfect and just what I wanted! In fact - I had them - lost them - wanted to find them - then received them back for Christmas.

My daughter received her hand lotion back so thought I had moved. And hubby got a WI game he hadn't played for a long time.

It was so cute - it'll never work again, but he did work this time.

And I didn't have to question my sanity any more - just for the moment anyway!

Now look at my new little one - just starting out to learn the world!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

SANDIE

Cheers to a new year and another chance to get things right - Oprah Winfrey.

Your new grandson is adorable. So glad that you've been blessed with two boys. Hope you'll get to see Will often enough to suit ya. It's murder when they live out of state.
Hope you're doing well, and getting stronger.

Oh my word - is that the sweetest thing ever or what??? What I just love is his spirit of giving - what a wonderful expression of generosity. Even if it might have been a little "misplaced" (Did you like that pun???) GROAN...

And your newest grandson is simply a "hug-package" -

Hope you're doing OK...

I think that's funny - and how sweet of him to want you guys to have something to unwrap as well...besides, a lot of time, most of the fun is in the anticipation and unwrapping, only in your case you guys really needed that stuff LOL

When my daughter became a teenager and more difficult to shop for, I used to take her clothes shopping for Christmas and she picked what she wanted, but I didn't give it to her. I kept it and wrapped it and with every package, she would smile and say: "Mom, how did you know? It's exactly what I always wanted" and it was a lot of fun and no trips to exchange anything...those were the good ole days!
